Excellent Book
Really nice book with nice historical photos as well as detailed photos of actual items. Very informative text. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the subject.

Well done look at German Uniforms
Nicely surprised. Very good depth of information on uniform jackets and other wearable of the Heer in WW2. By staying fixed on the main German Army allowed some good depth on construction and distribution. Well done on the helmets as well (I learned a thing or two I didn't know). The chapters on equipment have a bit more than basic information, personal equipment stayed at items for issue with essentially feeding of the soldier, not grooming or care. Basics on "pocket trash" are covered, with the text again giving some insight and detail. I would love to see a specialized in depth by the author on that aspect. Photographs are good, and informative, with very little repetition of the "same old" used by others before. Definitely making me desirous of the hardback to add to my references.

Good general book on the subject
I have a number of detailed books on the subject but this is a good overview for a beginner or someone who just wants to know what time it is without knowing how to build a watch,

WW2 German army insignias
I'm not too happy with this book but I will keep it I bought another book for $20 that blows this book out of the water and it only had less than 50 pages versus this one with 250 some pages

German Army WWII uniforms
Love it. I actually learned something about why certain insignia was worn on the sleeves. Great reference book and easy to read.

A good primer
This book exhibits the quality I have come to expect from Osprey. However I wish they had concentrated only on uniforms and saved the kit and weapons section for another volume. The book tries covers too much ground and therefore does not go into great detail on any one section. It's great for a novice or as a general primer on German army in WW2 .That said I would love to see a companion volume covering the U.S. army in WW2.
