Great product!
I've been using a few different yogurt starters from Cultures for Health over the last 2-3 years, and they've all been tasty and they've all cultured flawlessly. I've recommended them to friends, and my friends who have tried them have also been happy with their products.

Worked great for 24 hour yogurt on the SIBO diet
I used this product to make yogurt for my daughter for the first time, a 24-hour version that's accepted by the SIBO diet (a diet that's designed to reduce the amount of fermentable things in the gut, like starches, while building up healthier bacteria). I had never made homemade yogurt before, but it worked great, was some of the best yogurt we ever tasted. By recommendation of the recipe I was using, I used five cups of half-and-half, heated to 180 degrees, cooled to 110 degrees, then mixed in the yogurt starter, about a quarter cup of honey and a teaspoon of vanilla. Poured it into the little 6 ounce jars that came with my yogurt maker and let it work for 24 hours, then refrigerate. It was just outstanding and we couldn't be more pleased. The consistency was perfect and the flavor wonderful. Given some of the struggles others have reported here on achieving good results, you might want to use a heavier dairy product like half-and-half, and give this 24 hour approach a try. I think it's a great product, whether or not you're using it for some special dietary need.

Not happy with the results
I make my own yogurt all the time using a couple of tablespoons of store bought yogurt or my own leftover yogurt. In this occasion I did not have any leftover to start a new batch so I decided to get this culture to start a new batch, but it did not work at all. It thickened milk a bit, but it did not have the consistency of yogurt at all. I have experience making yogurt, and know the process, and followed instructions in package. I was not happy with the results.

Best Greek yogurt
My first time to make yogurt. Tasted better than any store bought. I used my new instant pot and followed directions found on many websites. Brought 1/2 gallon of whole milk up to 180 degrees, added packet of starter at 115 degrees, fermented for 10 hours "the longer the more tangy", strained for 2 hours, added honey and vanilla then put into mason jars and refrigerated. Very easy. Kept a little bit out before staring for regular yogurt. Both tasted great, I just like the consistency of Greek yogurt. I am confused about several of the reviews talking about the product being delivered during warm or hot temperatures. The product is freeze dried, does not need to be refrigerated or frozen. Also I saw several bad reviews talking about wasting their coconut milk or other ingredients because it didn't turn out? Everything I read said not to add flavoring " coconut milk, honey, berries etc" until after the yogurt was set and ready to refrigerate.

Worked perfectly with raw cow milk!! Goat milk....not so much
It WORKED!!!!!! Have made yogurt before with another company’s culture and it did not work. Ordered this for one last attempt. Used 1 gallon of raw cow milk and 2 packets of culture. Put it in my dehydrator at 100 for 5 hours and 114 for 7 hours, let sit in dehydrator off for the next 6 hours, refrigerated the day, strained it over night, and it was the best yogurt I have ever had!! Thekids even said it was the best before I drained it. After draining (Ihad to put some whey back into it because too much drained out and it turned to cream cheese....yummm....) I put it in my kitchenaid mixer and mixed vanilla extract and honey into it and put fresh berries in the jars and the mixed yogurt in top. It was all eaten that day and the next!! A note too: I started with 12 half pint jars and 4 pint jars. After straining it, the final number was 8 half pint jars. Totally worth it and going toorder more to try with raw goat milk!!!!********************UPDATE WITH RAW GOAT MILKFollowed steps mentioned above as with the raw cow milk. The goat milk thickened, but never really congealed. On top of this, it began to sour, so tasted and smelled like milk kefir instead of yogurt. I have read of people adding unflavored gelatin to their yogurt to thicken it up so will try that withthe next batch and re-update!!!

Excellent yogurt starter
This mild yogurt starter from Cultures for Health is the best one that I've used. It is reasonably priced and very easy to use. The expiration date of the 4-pack that I received is good, 3/2018, but I will be definitely using it all up soon. I like the convenience of using this starter instead of using pre-made or store-bought yogurt for starting a batch of homemade yogurt. Firstly, I don't like most store-bought yogurt which ends up expiring in the fridge, and I get mixed results when I use it as starter. The Cultures for Health yogurt starter delivers excellent and consistent results. I did use 2% non-homogenized milk instead of whole milk as recommended and still getting a nice, creamy texture. I will surely be purchasing this product again and highly recommend it to anyone who's into good homemade yogurt.

Doesn’t taste very good
I’ve made great yogurt using store brand yogurt as a starter, so I know how to make yogurt, but even following the instructions this came out terrible. It was way too watery so i used cheese cloth to strain it until it was thicker, but the problem is the taste. It tastes more like cream cheese than yogurt, but doesn’t taste good enough to actually use it as cream cheese.

It made good yogurt.
A little on the thin side but was workable when I strained it for Greek style, using the first two packets. I ended up wasting a half gallon of milk because the last two packets did work at all. Not too happy with this. I kept it in the fridge all the time.
