ION 4N cream hair dye
I love this product. The color is beautiful. My hair feels soft and manageable, not dry and tangled. My hair has always been dark, I'm nervous to let the grays/whites grow out. That being said, I get wonderful gray coverage. I love that it is a cream and not a liquid. Liquids are very drippy and make a mess for me. I like cream better as it stays where I put it with no dripping. I usually dye my hair every six weeks so the subscription is a perfect choice. You can change the color, quantity and subscription delivery time any time you need to. Hope this helps someone. 😊

not very blue at all
didn’t work at all, it said nothing about an activator either, we had lightened her hair so that should not have been any problem. Don’t know what happened with this product, but it did not work at all onlythe slightest tinge of blue. Could hardly see it really couldn’t tell it had been done at all very disappointed she was counting on it. I thought it was odd that the paste was white and not blue. You would think it would be blue. it wouldn’t let me rate it a 0 stars they got more color that my daughter did

Repeat customer to this brand but first time purchasing online
I usually buy my Ion Hair Dye from Sally’s but to save me a trip I decided to buy online. I particularly never used “jet black” before but I always pick in the black family so it was good enough. I specifically purchase this brand because it’s PPD free (I am allergic to PPD). Upon opening the package I was a little nervous since the tube had a different appearance from the one from Sally’s. I also read the back of the bottle and it had references to “black henna” which I found odd (or maybe never noticed on the Sally’s one idk) I hopped online to see the reviews and to my disbelief I saw some comments stating it’s really not ppd free. I was nervous. I looked up how to do a patch test - but unfortunately it takes about 24 hours and I had to dye my hair asap so I decided to do it anyways. I left it on for a 30 minutes and everything felt fine. After I washed it out I was so nervous that I might get a reaction but I am happy to report 8 hours later everything turned out fine. :)

the BEST hair dye brand EVER
if you’re looking for a good quality, long lasting, and reliable hair dye, CHOOSE ION!!! i’ve been using ion hair dye for years and every time i do it comes out amazing! and you can get super messy with it and it comes off of skin with just one shower (black and red dye can leave a tiny bit of stains on skin but other colors i’ve found do not) it always (almost) completely washes off my face, ears, and neck. and my hair went from a light brown to jet black in only like an hours and a half. ion hair dye is always so true to color and it lasts a long time (especially black) also any brand of developer works good with this, you don’t need to buy ion developer. anyways yeah, buy ion, don’t choose the other brands 🙌 (not sponsored lmao)

before and after ^^^
idk maybe i just have what they call as black hair dysmorphia, cuz to me it just looks dark brown… like don’t get my wrong it did actually dye my hair but it didn’t dye it like black enough. i feel like this dye would be good for someone going for a natural black color, but i wanted like pure black. also it like has a fragrance to it and to me the fragrance is like really annoying and gross plus it sticks in my hair forever. maybe it’s just cuz im sensitive to smells but its annoying that the smell just stays in my hair even after washing a few times. oh yeah and i feel like it fades a bit, i only washed it twice after dying it so far and it already faded enough. probably best to get a good blue black dye for a super black color
