easy to use
this product is awesome. The directions of how to use is super simple and easy to figure out. This product is also nice to have as a college student because being able to eat healthier is easier with this. It provides little to no grease on the tortilla which makes the meal that much better. If your family is larger like mine, my mom was able to make more shells in a less amount of time.

AWFUL product.
Don't buy this! Tried with thin and thick corn tortillas. Both cracked and split at the bottom and were uncooked while the sides burned. Additionally, the shaft became very hot and burned my fingers. The handle also became very warm and would probably burn your fingers if you have sensitive skin. Wasted my money on this item. ☹️

Good concept, some design flaws.
I like the end result. The taco shells are great and I like the fact that they are oil free. What I don't like is that the taco toaster can melt if you use it in succession to make multiple taco shells. Instructions clearly state that it needs to cool down between uses (i.e. run under cool water). That is fine and I have done this, but I can still see some evidence of melting just by single use. I do not like this, because whatever the composition that this product is made of can deposit onto the taco shells that you are cooking. I would think that a product made to go into the toaster should have a much higher melting point. Thus: Good concept, but some design flaws.

Good tacos, but the taco toasters get very hot.
I love crispy, non greasy tacos. I would give this product 5 stars but it did melt a little on the handle. You do have to watch the first couple of times you toast the shells because the taco toasters get very hot. You have to adjust the timing to your toaster. I bought two sets so I can make another set while the first set cools down. Also note that the inside of the shell does not get crispy since isn’t in contact with the toaster.

Great idea that really works
We've made several batches using the smaller "street" tortillas and they work great. Heating the tortillas for a few seconds in the microwave definitely helps. We have been doing 2 at a time and put them in a 325 oven until we have enough for our meal. It is important to run the taco toasters under cool water after every 2nd toast. (I've also tried having a bowl of ice water nearby and that works too)Also, most toasters won't have enough power to "pop up" like normal toast so you have to listen for the sound of it finishing and manually lift out the taco toaster - which get very hot.The resulting tacos are SO much better than the store-bought crunchy ones that tend to fall apart at your first bite.

Handles get very hot, bottom of shell does not cook, otherwise OK
Edit: After trying to use these taco toasters several times to make two dozen tacos with flour and corn tortillas, and having a total of zero full succeses, I decided these doodads are a good idea that is quite poorly executed. They don't work and do not deserve the space they take in the drawer. I tossed them in the recycle bin where they might be of some future use. Leaving it at 2 stars rather than the 1 it should get because it's hoped that the folks who make them will make the very necessary improvements in the design. With the aluminum wrap for the stems they don't burn in the toaster (yay), but the handles get very hot. Use a hot pad or silicone glove to pull the Taco Toasters out of the toaster to avoid burns, especially after 6-8 taco shells toasted in a row. With the bottom of the taco shell between the plastic and the stainless part of the device, very little heat gets to itl. The tortilla will not be toasted like the sides are. All that said, the tacos I made are not fried and are still crunchy. Will continue to use these, though I'll probably cut the handles off and reattach them with screws so the handles rotate so I can put them to the sides so they're not directly above the toaster slot while in use but will still store flat. That should keep them cooler while in use.

Awesome Product! Highly Recommend!
Saw the Taco Toaster and it’s Father/Daughter inventors on an entrepreneur TV show recently….Since we eats tacos at least 3-4 a week (hey, we live in San Diego, 1 hr to the southern border..ok ;) we knew we had to give this a try….The Taco Toaster is awesome! I stopped eating hard tacos when I was trying to drops some lbs….Now, with the Taco Toaster I can enjoy hard tacos without the frying (greasy, high calorie mess)I use ‘em for corn tortillas, but they work just as well with flour….Whether you’re trying to keep your slim, trim dad/mom bod, or you just hate the mess of frying, you gotta get the Taco Toaster….Highly Recommended! Bam!

Not worth the money
Bought this in hopes it would make shells! You have to cut them to even have them fit in a toaster! Waste of time and money
