Great value for money
This is my third Braun shaver. The previous one, also from the Series 3 lineup (model 330) served me well for 12 years, so naturally I wanted to go with another Braun.I'm not disappointed. It does its job well, feels softer than the previous shaver and is quieter. It's not magical though so don't expect to shave off 100% of hair after just one pass. That's probably impossible with this type of shavers (foil) because of different hair growth directions - you must always go against the hair growth direction. But the shave does feel quite close. I usually shave every other day (48-hour interval), but the shaver handled 72-hour hair with no problems.I like the fact that the removable shaving head is a single unit, rather than two as in the previous shaver (the foil and the cutter block were separate). Overall, the construction of the shaver is much simpler than my previous one, not least due to the lack of a built-in trimmer, but also because how the shaving head attaches. Simpler construction will hopefully mean fewer chances for breaking something. The main con of this shaver is the lack of accessories, especially the long hair trimmer. The next model with a trimmer that I could find wasn't able to shave while charging (an important selection criteria for me), in addition to a much higher price. Instead, I ordered a beard trimmer kit (part BT32) which *I hope* will fit this shaver (apparently it should). It's also sad that the shaver doesn't come with a brush, a storage case and machine oil that the previous shaver had, but this was known before purchase and the low price reflects minimal accessory kit. (Actually, I can use the brush from the old shaver and still have some oil left, so there's less waste!). The shaver does come with a protective cap though, so the lack of a storage case is hardly an annoyance. An important note on the charger's plug. It's a 2-pin plug that *looks* like an EU plug but *isn't* - it won't fit into an EU socket! (I bought it for use in continental Europe). But it fits into a UK power plug adaptor I have for use with UK appliances, it's a special shaver-only UK plug standard (apparently "BS 4573 (UK shaver)" - you can look it up on Wikipedia). The charger is apparently interchangeable with other Braun shavers (if those shavers are marked accordingly) but comes with a straight cord, whereas my previous one was slinky, which was more comfortable to use when shaving while plugged in. P&G support (which owns the Braun brand it appears) told me the old charger is not compatible with the new shaver despite the output current and the connector being exactly the same, which is a shame, because my old charger was for EU sockets. I wish they made the chargers standard, interchangeable and optional to reduce the amount of electric waste.

Good budget shaver, poor lifespan
Worked great me - delivers a nice close shave with no snagging. However after 3 years (most days shaving every other day) the battery is already toast.

Good value and reasonable priced spare heads.
For the price, good value and decent shave with good cutters/foil. Smooth and no catching.2 year warranty, replacement heads (21b) are £20 each. They recommend to change every 18 months, but who does that?My tip is, if you wash it under the tap after every use, then put a drop of light machine oil on the head. This deffo extends life of the cutters.

Amazing - Just BUY IT !
I have had my Philips rotary YEARS..................... This week a blade became damaged, so replace heads £18 or look for a ne razor after 20 years.Took a chance on this, this has been the first razor I have used where I have not had to have a quick dry, in the mirror go over with a disposable after for missed hairs.Came fully charged, thankfully as it is a 2 pin plug no needed an adapterhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D9HK46S2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleDo NOT think that a good price £40 is poor quality, it is a bargain.

Capable razor. Getting blunt after 18 months and running out of steam.
First impression:👀 I bought this to supplement my Plillips Aquatouch. I tend to carry a little stubble these days as my Wife says it suits me and the Phillips was getting blunt so this one seemed good value and if it didn’t work out then I haven’t lost a fortune and it might extend the life of my limping Phillips.👀 The razor is compact and comes with a charging cable. It fits in the hand well and is comfortable to use – when I get tired of the stubble. It does not take me long to shave my face so I am happy with the charge it carries and can leave it charging when it gets low. The razor will run when charging and it does seem to run a lot better plugged in lately, than on battery alone. Perhaps the rechargeable batteries are slowly giving up.What I liked:✔️ The trimmer in the central section sweeps up the long hairs ready for the foils to shave them closer. It’s not perfect but does work. I would have liked this part to be on one edge so that both foils could have a go at shaving the trimmed hair, but you can always go over and area multiple times. I have another razor that does not have this kind of a cutter and I sometimes use this one first to do some heavy trimming, before switching to the other one.✔️ The straight foil design gets into some areas well such as between the chin and the lower lip, and also around the ears. This is something a rotary blade shaver does not do as well. My Phillips Aquatouch is never as good for me around the ears in straight shaving mode and I have to flip out the trimmer attachment.✔️ Cleaning is easy with the pop-off foil head. Just run it under the tap for a while after brushing off the excess shavings.✔️ The foil head conforms to your chin as you move the razor around. This is not as important as it seems as I have used razors that do not and they work just as well, but it is welcome nonetheless.Anything I didn’t like so much:❌ It is starting to get a little blunt after using it for 18 months now.❌ The straight foils are not as capable to sweep up the longer hairs as my Phillips rotary with its slotted heads.❌ Battey does not run the charger as well as mains power. Conclusion:⚖️ This razor filled the gap for me when I needed it, but would still have expected it to last a bit longer than it has, particularly as I shaved a lot less over the 18 months that I have had it, and it was during stay-at-home lockdown. I have another razor with 3 foils now that does a far better job, albeit it is new. I still use this one for its horizontal trimmer. I looked into the cost of a replacement head, which is just more than half the cost of the shaver itself, and then if I open it up and swap out the batteries for a fresh set it starts to seem not worth it – but I do dislike the throw away culture when it comes to small electronic items. Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.
