BraunSeries 7 7075cc Electric Razor for Men with SmartCare Center, Beard Trimmer, Wet & Dry, Rechargeable, Cordless Foil Shaver, Black

I had used Braun shavers before, but couldn't find another at a good price after the last one broke. I saw this one on Amazon and decided to try it. It is durable and quiet. It is comfortable to use and easy to clean and recharge. It is cordless, so it can not be used while plugged in (I used to do that with another shaver).

My husband had the same razor for way past its life expectancy (series 3) however due to the cost of these we held out for as long as possible. When his razor finally died we had to find something and returned to this brand. He is a daily shaver unless its the weekend so no irritation is a must. After reading up on the various series of razors and comparing their options we decided on this one based on function, reviews and price. This razor definitely did not disappoint and even had some surprises as well. It gave him a super close shave with no irritation, ease in those hard to manage areas on the face, shape of handle is great, long life on battery with super quick charge if needed. The cleaning station uses the same cartridges his old one did which was even better. Hoping this series lasts as long as his old one did because we definitely got our money’s worth from it. If you need to replace like he did after years of holding out due to cost, this is definitely worth the price.

I had changed from a $40 no-name rotary, which did an okay job, yet not a real close shave, and was disappointed when the Braun really wasn't clearly better for three times the price. It could give a close shave eventually, but was slower, seemed to miss in patches I had to go back to, and the biggest gripe was if you skipped a day it really struggled with even one day's extra growth. I have a thin, patchy growth, so the cutting heads don't get a tough workout. On make-up day it would get most of it fairly quickly, but there'd be strands all over that I had to go back and try to get. Anyhow, my original head was about eighteen months old, figuring it needed replacement because I was getting more burn. One day I dropped the head in the sink and the two of the three cutting sections popped out. I gave up trying to put it back together and gambled on the price of another head rather than try a whole new shaver. Voila! The thing works better than it ever did! Close, easy shaves, no problems skipping a day. When I examined the old head after falling apart it appeared the middle section, which I suspect helps a lot with longer growth because of the size of the openings, was somehow not working, the mechanism looked busted or perhaps not connected up with the connector bar that drove it from one of the side cutters. Anyway, I'm glad I bought the replacement - saved the whole shaver for me, and am finally happy with it. I don't give it five stars because of eighteen months of disappointment due to the apparent defective head.

There are lots of Brauns, this seemed to be a good balance of quality and price.I used a 3 series and was not impressed. This is lightweight and the battery last a very long time. Used it on a 2 week vacation and did not bring the charger.The charging holder takes up a little space but works well.Gives a good shave but not nearly as close as a razor.

My first braun shaver lasted me 10yrs. It shaved good and I never had a problem with it. The only reason I replaced it was due to battery failing.My Second purchase is a similar model with charging station. The charging station failed within 2ys after purchase. Secondly and more importantly, the shaver does not shave as well as first shaver. I believe this due to quality of the blades. These are supposed to last 18mos. I have had to replace the shaving heads every 12mos. Also, you need to shave twice a day. If not, the next day you will be pulling hair. And forget about shaving your neck close. You will still need a manual shaver using this model. Stay away.

This was an excellent shaver that worked well on face AND head, giving a fairly smooth shave. The downside is that as you shave, the razor fills up with hair particulates and becomes less effective mid shave. At that point you need to open the razor and tap out the excess hair before continuing.Well, as seen above, the spring wrapped posts that connect the foil to the razor are not robust, and after less than a year of use my razor failed as shown above. I expected more for the price, honestly.

Every year for the last few years I came to the important men’s grooming crossroads — do I replace the foil cutter block or spring for an entirely new razor? My prior Series 7 had served me well, but the long-hair trimmer had broken, and I decided after seeing the discounted price on Amazon that it would be a nice time to upgrade.After a week of use, I have to say I made the right decision. This shaver is a beast! It gets an incredibly close shave and is quieter than the prior model, while being lighter/easier to hold in the hand and more flexible for the contours of my face. No more having to stretch my skin with my other hand or having to make multiple passes over the same area to make sure I got the hair. It makes for less shave time each morning.The new clean-&-charge unit is more bulky than the old one I had, which makes it less convenient for bathroom drawer storage, but it is very sleek and seems to clean & charge the shaver quicker than my previous model.Overall I am loving this shaver. You can’t go wrong with a quality name like Braun, and considering I got about 10 years out of my last one, the price is a bargain.
