Purchased this after watching some videos surrounding the activity of Magnet fishing! My, oh my, what a great purchase! This kit is everything a beginner magnet fishing enthusiast could ever possibly need! The rope is made from good quality material, I adjusted the knot just incase and used a lighter on it to create a perfectly strong connection so that the magnet won't come loose! After usage I would recommend airing it out/drying it to ensure the lifespan of the rope, although it doesn't look like anything apart from physically damaging the rope will cause a problem, I love it!!!!!!!

This is a nicely made magnet and the 'grip' is as expected. It is easy to remove small objects from the magnet, which begs the question how well would it retrieve them? But there is no doubt about the magnet's power if you place it on a flat metal surface - good luck getting it off! For the money, it should come with a retrieval line and Locktite for securing the screw which was loose on arrival.

I'm not going to write a review, I'm going to tell you something that happened. We were magnet fishing off the riverbank (we have a boat, but we were going off the bank in this case) The riverbank had the corrugated steel reinforcing, yes, you know where this is going... Well, upon pulling up the magnet, BANG, it stuck to the steel on the riverbank. First I tried pulling by hand, nope. Then I tried wrenching it off with the boat hook, nope. No movement whatsoever. I tied it to the boat and gently reversed. It held the boat. I went to almost full throttle and it was still holding the boat in place, so I thought I'd take a run at it. I went forward a bit to slacken the rope, then slammed it into reverse. This did the trick. It came off with a mighty force, luckily it hit the water and sank though, if it had hit the boat I feel sure it would have put a hole in it and sunk us.

My husband uses this for his strap winder for his lorry, it's probably a bit too strong so attached it only using half stuck on cos he struggled to get it off lol but it does the job.

Arrived 2 days early👌 magnet is small but incredibly powerful, have already pulled stuff out of my local river with it(no treasure yet)Only thing I could find wrong with the product is the supplied rope/cord has an outer covering which does fray easily,but that said the actual rope/cord itself perfectly strong enough to lift a fairly hefty weight.All in all would definitely recommend. 👍👍

Very disappointed with this product, on our 2nd occasion of using the magnet... the magnet came off from the eyelet and we were left with just the karabiner clip and the loop ! (See photo) Upset that this can happen and yes, we checked the magnet each throw, believe it’s a bad design, especially for the price.

Very disappointed in this product. My son saved up his pocket money and was so excited to take it down to our local river. Within half an hour the magnet Screw had become loose and detached so we had to search it (thankfully low water helped us retrieve it) It was then screwed back on with a screwdriver but at the next attempt it was gone for good, leaving a very upset child.
