Posted Nov. 30, 2020 in central Florida:I ordered this set to replace a different brand's pair that started failing after 3-years. The old batteries started swelling on the sides after 3 years when I expected a longer life. I use these with a Sony Camcorder to record public city council meetings maybe once a week. Some meetings could be 3+ hours long so a large charge capacity is needed so I don't have to change batteries part way through a video recording. The ones I replaced would show five hours charge left after full charging, but run down after 1-2 hours WITHOUT NOTICE. Both of these new "Big Mikes" batteries arrived partially charged so I added one right away to my camcorder. A fully charged battery shows over 10 hours of charge on my Handycam. They are used on my Sony Handycam HDR-CX230. Packaging - Each battery and the charger were in nicely designed "branded" blue Big Mike boxes. It includes an auto charger which is a good feature if you go on a long trip and need to charge a battery while driving. Thus this is not your typical Chinese product in a plastic bag and bad English on the invoice. I will update this if anything goes wrong. I set my ranking at 5 initially, and will revise it if they have problems later.

I am so glad to buy this extra battery for my camcorder, so I don’t need to keep changing.

My low rating is not for quality of the product. It is for the deception in advertising. The pictures of the product are NOT what you get. The depiction is of a Sony battery, but what you receive is an equivalent. I just got the delivery 5mins ago so haven't used it yet, but I'm confident it will work as advertised. Also I didn't receive the screen protectors, they weren't in the box. Price was excellent. Would buy again from this vendor.UPDATE: Charged the 2 batteries with the supplied charger, took them today (7/19- 1 day after I received them)to shoot a 6 hour session at a convention. Time was split up as 3hrs on 1.5hr intermission and then 3hrs. 1st battery died at 2:45 or so. Second battery died at a little more than that.Sony lists the HDR-CX260V run time for a Sony NP-FV100 as 600/HD or 650/STD when continuous. I didn't get even half that. Why? Maybe Big Mikes can tell me. I lost some very important info in the afternoon. This shoot was for some housebound individuals so once lost it's lost forever.Tomorrow's and Sunday's shoots will have to be truncated somewhat so I don't lose the important stuff. Not what I expected out of a NP-FV100 equivalent. I could live with at least 50% but I only got <30%. Maybe some of that 1 star IS for quality...UPDATE 2: Tried to charge both spent batteries. Won't go above 90% on recharge

The batteries work and it was a great deal. The reason for the 5 stars goes almost entirely to big Mike's electronics. I was having an issue with one of the batteries shutting off my camera when it was bumped. I hadn't used the camera much and it had been nearly a month before I noticed the problem. I contacted big Mike's and he responded immediately to let me know another battery was on the way, with a shipping label for the bad battery. I will do business with these guys in the future. Great customer service.
