Lexan is great stuff.
The sheets are handy and can be used for all kinds of projects. Cutting is pretty easy and problem free if you use a fine tooth blade. If you must have Lexan brand poly-carbonate sheet, confirm with your seller before purchasing.

Plastic bumber reinforcement
I bought this product to repair a crack on my '09 Mercedes front bumper. The idea is to cut a piece of the sheet to size and bridge the crack from underneath and glue the piece in place holding it by using small hand clamps until it sets. This should keep the crack from flexing while the car is on the road and protect it from further cracking. with the piece in place I will be using a small amount of glue in between the crack to further stabilize it and after drying will use some DrColorchip to touch it up. The polycarbonate has the same flexibility/rigidity as the bumper cover and products like crazy glue work will with it. Using a lucite cutting knife and a straight edge makes for easy cuting to size. If this all works it will make for a suitable repair rather then spending $2k at an autobody shop to replace the bumper cover.

Lexan Sheet - Polycarbonate - .118" - 1/8" Thick, Clear, 12" x 24" NominalShips from and sold by SIBE AUTOMATION.I have purchased this item twice now from SIBE AUTOMATION. Both shipments were Bayer Makrolon (Lexan is just another brand name for the polycarbonate material).Both shipments came well packaged and the sheets were not damaged in any way. Clear, smooth and flat surfaces protected by the film. Saw marks are visible from the cuts, but that is normal. The cuts were straight and square.I cut them down to sizes I needed and sanded them to get a frosted look. They look great in the landscape lights I made. Now I'm just curious how they'll last in the sun and weather.
