Great players and teammates
How many who think they know Jackie Robinson know how successful a football player he was at UCLA? Further, how many even know of Kenny Washington? This book captures them along with the very accomplished Woody Strode (actor) and presents a very readable account of them as people.

Great history!!
I found it fascinating and heart braking to learn what was happening during this time period. This kind of racial negativity, sports related, was never on the front pages. It seemed like these men just went quietly and did what they had to do and accomplished a great deal.I loved the way it was written and kept my attention to the very end.

Great book
Love the book. Crazy to hear all that went through in those days. Those guys were stronger than most of us can imagine to go through all of that

Weird Pricing
Um, This book looks great, I’m halfway thru the sample, but WHY are all the versions virtually the same price? HC should be highest, then PB somewhat less, then kindle even less than that.
