Keeping My Caridina Colonies Thriving
As a multi-tank Caridina keeper, maintaining consistent water parameters across numerous shrimp colonies can be a juggling act. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring the proper mineral balance, especially in tanks with softer water or those that utilize reverse osmosis (RO) filtration. That's where Brightwell Aquatics Caridina GH+ has become a valuable tool in my shrimp-keeping arsenal.Caridina GH+ goes beyond simply boosting general hardness (GH). The carefully balanced formula also includes important electrolytes like potassium and magnesium. These are essential for proper nerve and muscle function in shrimp, contributing to their overall health and vitality.

Raises KH
Despite being labeled as for Caridina shrimp which need very low Kh, it increases Kh to an unsuitable level for them. Otherwise the product mixes well, easy to calculate and increases gh & kh.

Bottle leaks
Just fyi the pump is faulty. It leaks from the base of the pump, you cant "shake" as instructed as you end up wearing it and wasting product. Make sure to not accidentally knock it over, or tip the bottle as liquid freely flows from the pump base, and nozzle. Contacted seller and they don't seem to surprised. I asked if this is a normal, known issue and their response was "As long as the pump functions it shouldn't be an issue" I'll be sure to go with a brand that cares more for the quality and function of the product. I am sure to end up wasting more than I will use. I would have expected a response along the lines of we haven't had complaints, or no, that isn't normal if it wasn't just a one off.Whats the point of having a pump action with a designated dispense rate for instruction if that pump is worthless and doesn't dose the correct amount, doesn't allow for instructed action, and forces waste of solution? Mine as well eliminate the pump all together. Then I could actually shake it and not lose half on the floor not knowing it would just pour from the bottle.
