i was worried about the sharp edge putting holes in pants, but its just the right sharpness to be a great scraper and mail opener. would reccomend this one above the other dookickey with no sharp point

This is a great little tool .. usually unappreciated initially.. I had a nurse txt me and say they used it almost everyday.. we give them with a keychain when we sell new houses !

I've had this for about three weeks now--exceptionally handy. The pointed edge has helped me open several boxes--works better than a cheap knife, and you don't have to worry about damaging what's underneath. The bottle opener is sized perfectly; works well. I didn't think I'd like the carabiner gate--when bouncing around, they have a mind of their own--but this one's stayed put and makes detaching the tool quite easy. The wrench is pretty much an afterthought: if you have clearance, it works OK, but only on three specific sizes. Make it more like the Burktek tool and you'd have a real winner. A fairly easy change for Nite Ize: put the wrench on the very end of the tool and move the carabiner gate inwards a bit. The tool would still hang the same way, but would act more like a box wrench - the actual wrench opening is at the end, and you'd get more clearance.Haven't needed the scraper or screwdriver yet; can't comment on those.The tool has been TSA-friendly thus far: I've put it in plain sight of all the inspectors without incident. There are no exposed blades; heck, a ballpoint pen is more dangerous. Pokes a hole in my pocket? Not thus far, but I definitely wouldn't keep it in the same pocket as my cell phone.For what it does, and for the $4 I paid for it, this has been a fantastic little tool. Highly recommended.EDIT: I flew over the Christmas holidays, and the TSA confiscated this. To be fair, I had the misfortune of a random search--full hands-up-legs pat-down and everything--and got a full bag search as well. The TSA saw the tool on my keychain and just said "We'd like to double-check this." With 30 minutes to go before boarding and a security line stretching behind me to Timbuktu, I told the TSA to keep it--$5 wasn't worth my time or theirs. I've since purchased a replacement; this is a really useful tool in spite of its minor flaws, and I suspect the odds of TSA confiscating it again to be pretty low.I own all three DoohicKey tools (screwdriver, this one, serrated key); this one's my favorite so far.

There are a TON of keychain tools out there! This is my favorite. The sharp prong on the end holds it's sharpness and is great for opening stuff. I like that it has a strong, wide clip, which makes it easy to clip onto anything. The bottle opener worked better than I thought it would. And the scraper end has come in handy several times. I even used the screwdriver end twice - which I never expected to do.Finally, it's super strong! I have yet to bend it after some abuse.

I work in food service. Opening boxes and plastic wrapped products daily. This will not slice a bag open, but will slice packing tape or light plastic wrap without having to dig your nails in to tare. The edges to pry open lids/cans is very handy. Biggest bonus for me is of I forget to take it off it is not considered a knife that is prohibitedin certain areas. I have it attached to a retractable cord for easy access.

Needed something more durable than a key for opening boxes throughout the day. This device doesn't quite have the edges I need and there's almost no other reason to have it.

This many function tool should be on everyone's key ring or in their pocket. Made of high-quality metal. I use this tool almost every single day at my job.
