Stunningly good for the price. I can't get over how good they are.
I spent a long time researching before getting a new pair of binoculars, and found bestbinocularsreviews extremely helpful. I narrowed down my choice down to two, which I couldn't decide between. I finally went with these Celestron TrailSeeker ED 8 x 42 Roof Prism because they were at a good price on Prime Day, and I'm so, so delighted. To be fair, any new binoculars were going to seem good compared to my 50(?) year-old 10x50 porro prism bins, but these have really exceeded my expectations. The image is the critical thing, and these are really bright (the electrolytic coated prisms make a huge difference), sharp right across the field of view, with no colour fringing that I can see at all. They focus really nicely, have a slightly wider field of view than most bins, and they eye cups are brilliant for using the bins with glasses or for my wife without glasses. They're light and feel well made, so I feel I can take them every time I go on a walk, which I haven't done for years. The eye cups can stay attached, which is nice. The only thing that feels very slightly disappointing is the case feels a bit lightweight, but I think it's good enough. I like the shoulder harness, too, though I haven't tried it out yet as the strap is good.

A good choice
I chose the 8x32 ED after lots of research as I wanted something I could take hiking for scouting the area as well as getting a closer look at nature. I got to test them thoroughly today at Holkam and they were flawless. First off there were lots of butterflies and dragonflies and to my surprise these could focus easily on the close stuff, giving me a new perspective on these colourful creatures. Then we passed by a bird hide looking out over the marshes. I'm not much of a birder and I was worried the 2 blokes inside might bore me to death but I gave it a shot and I was amazed by the clarity and colours and really enjoyed watching the birds go about their business. I can definitely see the appeal and will do it again. Then we went on to the beach and I got to see some ships out at sea. Holkham beach is vast but be careful as you pan around because it turns out they have a naturism section and you might end up looking at an old guy with his dangly bits out. When looking to pick up the trail back inland I was able to easily scan the horizon and pick out the correct heading. Looking forward to making the most of these on some hikes in the mountains too. They are just the right size, any larger and I think they would be too much.

A TOP CHOSE BINOCULAR
After reading reviews on a hand full of similar 8x32 priced bino's these seemed to suit me, more than the others.Image quality very good. (naked eye only, I don't use glasses)Focus precise and sharpish (practice needed here)Weight around my neck about right, 500 grams or there-aboutsHandling and size of bino's feels good.A good all-rounder/keeping an eye on dog running in the countryside /nature watching etc.Price to quality/ about right, in my opinion.

Wonderful binoculars.
wonderful binoculars. I take them every time I am out. The grey heron on my local rhyne looks wonderful. They feel great in my hands and the way they are on my body with the harness is so comfortable
