Supermarkets sell these for $4-7 a bag so this price is an absolute steal.I got 5 month old peanuts with an expiration of 6/25/2023. Given the crazy cheap price, this seems fine. Also the box looks like it was imported wholesale from China, so it makes sense for them to be at least a little old with container shipping speeds over water.

THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME!Not sweet. Umami from the peanuts, not sour but sort of electric lemon flavor from the sichuan peppercorns, spice from the chiles. I have seen recipes telling how to fry peanuts in oil with Sichuan peppercorns and chiles to try to recreate this, but it seems like too much work and too easy to make too greasy. Also, according to my Chinese coworker that turned me on to these, they use some special type of peanut (they are about twice the length of normal peanuts.)I used these for a good keto snack. Eventually the natural sugar in peanuts can add up, but if you eat only like 1/3 of the pretty large package as a snack it is totally doable.

These have been so popular I had to order a case of these in order to have some on hand. They are great by themselves or added to dishes like Kung Pao. If you are overly sensitive to the peppers then you can remove those and the peanuts still have a really nice flavor without too much kick. A favorite in my house for many years!

I brought two batches from 2 different distributors. The first was good, but the second one was not good. The bags looks about the same except on the left hand corner. The good ones have 'shiho' in upper left, the bad one have chnese character then 'ho' in the upper left corner.The bad batch bags were much smaller in contents on amount of peanuts and spices. It basically completely sucks when compare to the ones that say 'shiho'All I know is I will never order from the second distributor again. Or maybe never order online unless it is provided by the first distributor.

Reminds me of the spicy nuts I would have when I traveled to China. Love the flavor and they are not that hot. Just a nice sichuan pepper flavor. Plus the nuts are always crunchy and not dry. So yummy. Plus they are always delivered quickly!
