I purchased this battery to replace the one in this laptop I am writing from as it was losing its capacity to hold a charge. I decided to try this brand based on reviews from others as well as price point. I found price of batteries for this laptop (Dell XPS 9380) to vary greatly. Some were a bit cheaper and some quite a bit more, in some cases over double the price. Reviews showed some of the cheaper ones folks had issues with a proper fit / alignment of the mounting screw holes. I did not have any such issues with this brand.As far as installation, it would be best if you are handy with tiny parts / screws that hold the laptop together. Use of a proper torx bit set / size is a must to make sure you don't strip out the screw heads. There is also a glue like strip around the outside edge of the case where it separates that needs to be separated via a proper tool to not damage the laptop when removing the bottom cover. Once inside, you will find it is easy to remove the old and place the new battery in its place. You can find instructions online for all the steps to perform the replacement of the battery.So far, the battery has been great and holding a charge that lasts all day for me (Pending what I am doing on the PC). Battery life can vary greatly when performing tasks that use more processor and graphics resources. As far as web browsing, checking email etc, it will last over 8 hours.All said, I am pleased with this battery so far. I have had it now for a few months and no issues.I did follow other's instructions to be sure to charge completely and let discharge completely until the laptop shut off on its own about 4 or 5 times to allow the battery / charge system get a good calibration baseline!!!

My XPS13 9370 battery swelled up, causing the keyboard to bulge outwards and causing the screen to be unable to close flat. I ordered this replacement battery, which came in a four days, and the battery life is now good as new. I've attached the battery info from hwinfo as well as several photos of the old and new batteries.Replacement was very straight forward but you'll need your own Torx and small Phillips screwdrivers. The brackets on the new battery perfectly fits the ones on the laptop and there were no misalignments. You do need to bend the battery cable into place and make sure that it doesn't protrude too much. What I did was to roughly position the new battery first and connect the battery before aligning it into the brackets and securing the battery with the screws. Then I carefully bent the cable downwards to be as close to the motherboard as possible before closing up.

If you're considering this aftermarket battery, you're probably looking to save money. YOU WILL NOT SAVE MONEY BUYING THIS, IT WILL ONLY WASTE YOUR TIME. I had *several critical problems* with both the original battery I received AND the replacement that I ordered.1. Most importantly, the BATTERY DID NOT WORK. It would not charge at all, staying at 0%. Disconnecting my computer from the charger caused it to *die instantly*. This is a problem with the battery, not with my software. I tried practically every troubleshooting method (discharging residual power, re-installing battery drivers, changing the charge setting to "standard", running Windows power troubleshooting, and more).2. The connector on my first battery (which I had replaced) was *covered with cloth* -- sending electricity through that thing just *screams* fire hazard. The left image is my old battery, which is what the connector *should* look like. On the right is the first battery I received, which has cloth wrapped all over the connector.3. The connector is bent at a very uncomfortable angle, so it requires an unhealthy amount of pressure to get it to stay in place.To reiterate once more, this terrible product will *NOT WORK*. Not only did the original battery I received have problems, but its replacement would not function either. After countless hours of installation and troubleshooting, I have practically given up on this product. Moreover, I have contacted the seller, but I have yet to receive a reply, and I doubt I ever will. As unlikely as it is, if they resolve the problem, I'll change my review.

As mentioned in the headline, I have not had a problem with this battery regarding wattage longevity. It has been equal to the Dell OEM battery I replaced it with. However, I bought this in July 2022 and it is now starting to swell. 7 months seems pretty short. I've reached out to Dentsing about the 12-month warranty they claim in their product details and will update this review with whatever resolution occurs.(Originally 3 star review)UPDATE 2023-03-04I reached out to Dentsing regarding their warranty policy and was shipped a replacement battery immediately. It's been installed and seems to be working perfectly. Thank you Dentsing! I'm updating this to a 5 star review.An aside on longevity. I bought my XPS 9370 new with a 3 year Dell warranty and went through 2 battery replacements with Dell. They only seemed to last <18 months, so, you could imagine my disappointment in the longevity of Dentsing's replacement. Now I have a puffy but usable battery. I don't know if this is a fault with the battery or with the charging components in the Dell, so I'll leave any opinions about that out of this review. Dentsing honoring their warranty is admirable.UPDATE 2023-09-14The replacement is expanding....

So far the battery life has been excellent. I drained it to 3% and charged it three time like the directions said. It also came with all the necessary screwdrivers to easily install it. The Dell web site said I needed to send my laptop in and have them replace the battery. This saved me $100 and time without my laptop. Definitely worth it, and works great (I'm several weeks into using the new battery).
