Why So Angry, Cookie?
ANGRY COOKIES is a book about an anthropomorphic cookie that is angry. The cookie breaks the fourth wall and speaks directly to the reader asking the reader to leave him alone. However, as the reader turns the pages, the cookie begins to open up. The reader learns why the cookie is angry and as the pages turn, the cookie’s mood begins to change.ANGRY COOKIE is a book that children will probably love. There are two things that stuck out most to me about the book. The first is that the cookie in this book lives in a world of anthropomorphic pieces of food: bananas, gum drops, candy canes, corn, and all kinds of other pieces of food are alive and walking around in this book. It’s an interesting concept that captures one’s attention. The second thing that stood out in the book to me was how much it reminded me of the old golden book, THERE’S A MONSTER AT THE END OF THE BOOK. The ultimate message and story are different between this book and that one, but the approach is similar.I really enjoyed ANGRY COOKIE and I’m sure most children will, too.

We've all had those days
Purchased this for our small military library. The drawings are adorable and engaging- nice details too. The idea that a cookie is annoyed with a recorder playing roommate and the fact the intruding reader was a new experience! Children loved his irked behavior as we followed him around, the ending was sweet too.

New family mantra
Helped my own Angry Cookie with this complex emotion that presents itself daily. It’s our family code word now to acknowledge his feelings and let him know he’s loved while he finds his center. Love it! Thank ladies for creating this book!

Hilarious and Heartwarming!
"It all started yesterday when my roommate, Barbra, got out her new recorder. She only knows this one terrible song and keeps playing it over and over again. I hate the recorder! And you're not even allowed to use the word hate. But I just did, so there".Reminiscent of THERE'S A MONSTER AT THE END OF THIS BOOK, this hilarious and interactive book will joke your child right out of a bad mood. The idea of an angry cookie is comical and Cookie's strong personality shows kids that feelings aren't permanent and it's okay to feel mad sometimes. This is a great book to evoke discussion around how thoughts leads to feelings and how to deal frustration. ANGRY COOKIE is a super fun read aloud!

Not age appropriate for young kids. Cringe
“Go away” and “you are so annoying” are not lines I feel comfortable reading out loud to my 3 year old l
