The assembly drawing is located in the product description.Suggestion: the thin metal horizontal strip goes on the outside of windshield with the part number facing in towards windshield. The thicker metal horizontal strip is for the inside of the windshield. Both pieces need to be bent gently to fit well.

Assembly is a bit of a pain, especially since the thicker cross bar is straight and the windshield isn't. Getting it to match the curve of the windshield without bending it all out of shape was probably the most difficult part. Other than that it's just a matter of figuring out what goes where. There's two screws that are slightly longer than the rest that go where the down bars meet the cross bars, and if you don't catch that you can end up taking it half apart again. Also helps to have a second pair of hands.

Windshield fits perfectly with my 96 FLHPI with the large headlight housing. It was a little tight to get on but that's the way it's supposed to be. No instruction included so I used the picture to put it together. Keep in mind that 2 of the included screws are longer than the others(I found out the hard way!) for where the front and rear brackets connect with the mounting bracket. This is a great windshield! Very clear and the shipping packaging was fantastic!

The company that makes these doesn’t include the curvature of the plexiglass. The holes line up on one side, but are off on the other side. I had to redrill the holes to make it work. They need to try putting one of these together at the factory and they will see the problem. Or send them fully put together.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Harley Road King Windshield. It was much larger than I expected and does its job well!

If you are mechanically inclined, assembly isn’t too bad, since no directions are included and modifications may be needed. It will help if you have an old shield available for reference, I Found the cross supports to be extremely straight making it somewhat difficult until the curves are formed to the windshield. The shield opening radius had to be filed with a rasp and hand sanded to accommodate my 2000 Road King police bike headlight housing. Modification was needed since the out of box shield radius dimension is very tight and interfered with the side of my bike headlight housing. Do not force fit this windshield as you are sure to damage your paint and/or the housing! Otherwise, after modification, Given the price, the hassle was worth it.
