Best device ever, but you have to understand...
I read the comments and I can see that the customers have no experience with Victron.Victron is one of the best brands in the world and this device is excellent. Does 240V makes sense in the US market? Yes of course. You have just one device (instead of having 2 120V devices), use an Autotransformer and you have a split phase system.Or it can be used to use a 240V input from a generator. Aso...If some people mixup Voltage with Amperage, they should hire an electrician to do the work...

Do not buy if you want 120v. If you want to 230v go ahead
Didn’t receive the control panel with it. And it was not clearly marked As not supported in the US. This inverter is only 230 V and cannot be changed to 110v. You have to pay almost $2800 if you want it to only have 120v. Disgusting marketing. Because in the manual it says that you can change in the software. I had to buy a 230 to 120 step down transformer to use it. and you have to get so much more accessories to control this thing.

False advertising
The 120 stands for amps not volts, this is misleading customers to believe it will work with a 120 v system and it doesnt. For such an expensive investment, this should be specified in the instructions. The only way it is usable is with a system of step up or step down transformers and other accessories!!
