Sally Hansen Special Effect Lace, Ruffle, 0.4 Fluid Ounce

I really love this new old stock product. Although it’s older still works as it did the first time I bought it several years ago. Perfect consistency and long wear.

I was so excited to get this it looks so cute but when I got it I opened the the bottle and it smells like straight acetone. The bottle itself had scrapes and stuff on the label front and back and there is some foundation makeup packed into the crease around the back label the lid is covered in scrapes and fingerprints that are not mine.

It’s a fantastic effect coat - might be one of my favorites of all time. When I originally got it years and years ago, I tried to make it look “lacy” and it never really looked right to me and the many coats would not dry well. When I rediscovered it recently, I realized that it works much better as one thin coat, creating more of a speckle effect, like a bird’s egg type thing. It really dresses up a set of nails.

I searched all over for this product and had no luck since its discontinued. I'm glad Amazon had it in stock and the wife loves it.

This nail polish goes on clear with black dots. There is not a bit of crackle or lace.

labeling was not on the front? No way of knowing if this was really Sally Hansen or not. Don't think it made the desired effect that was expected by the description either....would not buy again.

This is one of my all time favorite glitter polishes. I have been using it since it was first released and decided to stockpile it when I found it getting harder and harder to get ahold of. The name is a bit misleading, but if you think nail polish is going to come out looking like lace that's on you. This polish is a clear base with multiple sizes and shapes of black glitter suspended in that base. For best coverage use the makeup sponge technique.

This polish is basically a textured top coat. It is a clear base with different sizes of black glitter. I would not really call this a "lace" effect. Just a glitter topcoat. It actually does look good on it's own as well if you put 2 or 3 coats. I knew what it was when I bought it so I was not disappointed.
