After 21 years my husband no longer puts dirty socks next to the hamper!
Ironically, I originally purchased this for myself to organize my increasing number of charter socks because sorting & folding takes much longer when you've got a Hufflepuff sock in one hand and a 'no drama llama' sock in the other; but what you're really after is the missing partner to the penguin reading Shakespeare sock!Well, the best-laid plans of mice and men and all that; my husband saw the sock organizer and wanted to know what the 'plastic foot hanger with buttons and strings' was, so I explained it.Next thing I know he's made off with the unloaded hanger and every night another pair of his socks gets loaded into it.For 21 years I've begged, pleaded, cried, screamed, yelled, ignored, bribed, and hired goblins to get that man to put his socks INSIDE the hamper and not 4" to the right of it. 21 years!!The 10th night he carries the full string of socks out of the closet and wants to know where the other hanger is. I tell him "It's full of MY socks". The next day he takes both sock lines out of the dryer and hides the one with his socks while putting mine out for me to fold, put in the drawer, and re-hang as an empty line. Then he swiped it!It took me about 2 days to find it. I peeked into the closet to toss my socks in with the dirties, & I see my husbands line of clean socks hanging from the hook and my missing line hanging below that like a double-tailed kite. I asked him what he was doing with both and he proudly replied: oh I love that thing. The top one is for the clean socks and the bottom one is for the dirty socks! He's got 197 identical black socks. I've got 23 pairs of socks that match nothing except their twin. And I'm stuck sorting socks for 45 minutes twice a month again.

Worth it!
This allows you to keep your socks together for easy pairing when they’re clean. Great for patterned socks that you are always losing the match to.Pros:- Quick and easy to use. Just put your socks in between the cords and tighten one of the fobs to secure.- hangs off of the hamper- holds quite a few pairs of socksCons:- loud in the dryer when the plastic fobs hit the sides of the drum- wrinkles the socks.Overall a great product! I like it better than the washable bags because the socks don’t bunch up as much. The cons are small picky things that don’t matter too much to me, but may to some people.

These work great!
I bought this package of 2 sock docks for my parents who are 97 & 94. They still live at home and do all their own housekeeping. They hate sorting socks. So, I gave them one of these and they are so happy they never have to sort socks again. Every night they put their socks in the sock dock. On laundry day they go into the washer and dryer and come out dry and SORTED! This was one of the most useful and best gifts I've given them and it is such a simple thing. I'm glad I could make their lives easier. Wish I lived closer to them.

Genius life item you did not know you needed--already reordered twice!
I'm a cheap-skate, so I know you might be asking if they are worth it. The answer is YES!I have a larger family so laundry, in general, is a big deal. Time-saving ideas and ways to survive the workload are also a big deal.Matching socks became one of my greatest frustrations, particularly since I'm a neat freak and never have been into the "wear whatever you can find mindset". I want the socks of my family to match their outfit, be clean and free of holes and most importantly, be readily available. Mornings are CRAZY. Nothing is worse than people not having what they need to get out the door so everyone can arrive at their destinations on-time...or heck, even make it there! So, years ago, I started safety pinning socks to wash them. That made things so much easier. I mandated people rolled or folded their socks up as they took them off and then we had to pin everything before it could be washed. That worked...for the most part.I learned certain socks would get tangled or caught in the pins (the round part) and then would get torn and thus, need to be tossed out (but it saved time, so some casualties were acceptable). Some pins came out in the wash and would get jammed up in my washer or dryer--so, I learned to only use LARGE BABY PINS (think diapers). Those can be expensive and are sometimes hard to find. Then, there is the tedium of pinning to wash and unpinning to fold. You would think I was asking the kids to clean an elephant's cage when I asked them to pin the socks--not a popular job around here. Now, I have an older son who has 40-50 specialty socks. So, basically instead of a pack of options, one shot to match that sock. Add the fact he's in college, does laundry in a rush and at laundromats, and hates the pinning idea--wow--we ended up with a whole basket of mismatched socks once again.Enter the sock-dock!We grabbed the huge pile of dirty socks & grabbed matches while easily sliding down the next button and filled-up both docks like it was nothing. We went to the laundromat and they came out perfect! Not a sock fell off and all the socks were partnered. He was excited to have matches once again! So excited as a matter of fact, he determined that he was going to store them that way. He even took them out and showed his girlfriend his matched socks. Yes, a sock dock can cause excitement :)Thus, my first reorder...because we asked ourselves "where will the dirty socks go?" We needed one set for clean socks and one set for dirty ones. (Now, if you own laundry machines and don't have to stock-pile laundry, one set might suffice). But guess what??? Now I want to transition each family member to this little wonder. This should be easier on my machines.Maybe it will help with the DH's work socks (as their more delicate nature did not always fair greatly with pins).Maybe it will ease the pinning task & the teens will cooperate more with this, as it's easier.I'm glad I found this item and I think you will be too, so give it a try!

Not so great
I took a while to use this product before reviewing. I have used it several times.Pro: keeps socks together to not have to find them These are okay, but I would not buy againCon: Most of our socks did not dry unless they were put in single, which made this difficult to use as it says 9 pair per doc, but unless they were very thin socks I could not get them to dry by putting a pair in each slot. Also, we do not have anywhere to put these in the closet as suggested and I have to remember to start putting the socks in the doc at the beginning of the wash load. ( My problem, not the doc)

Every home should have a collection of SockDocks
This product is inexpensive, has a lovely design and is robust. It is a quality German domestic addition which will save you a lot of hassle and time. No longer will you be hunting, like I have done for years, for single socks to match up hidden in different spots in the hot press or under the bed. The SockDock can be hung in the wardrobe, like a tie rack, and means the end of that place of mystery and heartache - the sock drawer. All I can say is buy it and check it out for yourself.

Sock laundry organizer
Product is very sturdy and strong. It does what its supposed to do. Brilliant invention. My only gripe, it's a little expensive

Nice idea, not really practical.
The socks are so bunched up, that they won’t dry by taking them straight out of the washing machine and hanging them up. Which really makes the time fitting the socks in it a waste of time.

Let keep them, together.
Fantastic Idea for keeping socks in pairs.

No more hunting for odd socks
I love my sockdock, such a great idea, this is my second packet and will probably keep these in my suitcase for holidays. Can be used for gloves as well.
