Love this book
I have read many herbal books in my life; believe me. So, I can sincerely say that this book is by far one of the best that I have read. It was very easy to read and not boring. Reading this book made me feel that it was written especially for me. The in formations shared were valuable and personal to me. The book contains a wealth of life saving information written by a person who loves and respect the trade of herbalism and natural living. I have learned so much about herbal healing and remedies just by reading this book in a week ,than sitting in workshops for months and even years. And the price of the book is very economical;thanks. Much thanks and gratitude. Continue to motive and to teach the lovers of natural healing like myself. Eternal blessings !

pretty happy with it all when I got to Red ...
Oh dear.I was flipping along, pretty happy with it all when I got to Red Root. Which the author specified as Amaranthus Retroflexus and then went on to say that other common names are New jersey Tea,. etc. These two things, Amaranthus and the medicinal Redroot, are not even in the same family, There is a red rooted pigweed (Amaranthus) but it is NOT the redroot of herbal medicine. While the sort of red root of Amaranth won't hurt you - it is considered a nutraceutical, if not a medicinal - it is really very different from the proper medicinal herb redroot. Redroot is in the Buckthorn family and is often called New Jersey Tea.Errors like this are unacceptable.I want my money back.

This book is excellent, but I strongly recommend buying the hard copy
This book is excellent, but I strongly recommend buying the hard copy, NOT the kindle edition. Some books just weren't made for an e-reader, this is one of them. In order to fit a page on my Kindle, I had to minimize to the smallest print possible. Ouch, my eyes!! Also, there is a certain joy about looking through books like these that made me wish I had the actual book. I've looked at the hard copy at my local apothecary, and the book is just beautiful, lots of pictures. You can look up herbs in the index by ailment, or individually, and the recipes for teas etc. are very easy to follow. Great book for beginner herbalist and experienced herbalists alike!

Best practical overview of herbal medicine
I have been reading herbal guides for wellness and while there are many good sources, this is one of the most comprehensive and easiest to follow. A must for any herbal library.
