Working well with 12 inch Harmon Kardon Sub
The original amplifier in my HKTS 14 sub seems to have let out the magic smoke. After trying to repair it by replacing caps to no avail, I decided to replace the amplifier and found this little board. It's about 25% of the size of the original equipment but has plenty of power to pound the 12" sub-ts 14 driver (with a 3.5ohm inductance). The original amplifier in it was 200W, but this doesn't struggle one bit to keep up. It lacks some of the features of the original, but for $12 it works very well. I'm even just using a 32 watt power supply from an old Airport Express (so I'm nowhere near 100W output)

Excellent for the price
I had 2 passive sub-woofers and have added this amp to both of them.Sound quality is excellent (as expected from a digital amp) and can pack more than enough punch to fill a room. Some people have commented that it can't provide 100W, but some reviews I have seen were only providing a 10W power supply !!! If you provide a good power supply then you will get excellent results from this little amp.A 10W power supply with this thing is enough to fill a 2 car garage . Put a decent 50W supply on it and the walls shake!!!Couldn't be happier.

100watts check, sub driver check. All i need for 13$
Unit does not power completely off when clicked to off position. The led stays dimly lit and it continues to draw a small amount of current. Dunno if matters really but is not right. Bleed resistor maybe. Otherwise it is a badazz little amp. Using it to drive a pioneer type e 10 and works awesome. I dont think you can blow it other than overheating which a fan will stop that because the unit when it draws over the 100watt rating it cuts out for a few seconds then on again like a protect mode but does hit 100watts with a 4 ohm load. The frequency responce is not that low but what ya gonna do for 13$. It hits good enough to not want to turn it up all the way.. shipping took a while but hong kong is pretty far away from ky..

Does the job but could be better
It gets the job done for a subwoofer amplifier. Using it to drive a 6.5" Dayton Audio DCS165-4, which is a 4 ohm single voice coil driver rated for 100Wrms. Powering the amp at 25V (the TPA3116D2 is actually rated at maximum of 26V but the amazon description says 25V max), I was able to drive the subwoofer to 24Vpk = 17Vrms before hard clipping occurred (see oscilloscope photos), meaning the amp was actually only producing 72Wrms (100.8 Wpk) into the 4 ohm load. So the manufacturer needs to specify that this is only a 100Wpk amplifier. (But if you're smart, you know that to do 100Wrms, you need 28Vpk, which obviously this amp can't do since the max supply is 25V).Also, there is no mention of whether or not this amplifier has a low pass filter or not. Listening to unfiltered audio through this amp, it is clear that there is some low pass filter applied to the signal, which is most likely being done through the op-amp. I measured that the -3db frequency was about 130Hz +/- 5Hz, but the filter slope is definitely not very steep (I was having trouble measuring it, but I'd reckon it's probably no more than a 2nd order low pass filter). So you should definitely put a better low pass filter on your audio if you plan to use it with a subwoofer.Regarding the volume knob, it has a switch to turn the amp on and off, but when you turn it to the off position, the amplifier is not actually powered down! Thus, the amp idles at its rated quiescent current of about 30-35mA according to the datasheet (I measured 35mA) which on a 25V supply is 0.875W of idle dissipation.Overall, this amp is quite nice for the price and gets the job done. But, be aware of the things mentioned above when purchasing. You get what you pay for!

WOW. Holy Smokes!
Tone Tubby 10" speaker in a baltic birch 12" x 12" x 12" (rough) sub with 3/4" port slot. The box delivers funds. down to ~30-35Hz. Had an O Audio sub amp that blew. This thing makes the room rattle. I am gathering that the higher the voltage and W/A the bigger the sound. 12V 1500 mA is what I am using. Not fancy, I probably should have sprung for the case version, but for $14 US, and for something that I thought would be less than expectations (they were low). The O audio had phasing and a fuller range (I also used it for a Bass amp at gigs...it was also ~$300), but this thing now is alive and KICKING!Preach! Clearly the manufacturer is using captured alien tech. Crazy.

Awsome little Amp
This little Amp is Awsome!!!!! I have a Bose Cinamate speaker System that I had for years. However, it quit working recently, so I modified the Subwoofer, ripped out all of the Bose electronic Components and hooked up the small Digital Amp to the Bose Subwoofer Speaker. All I can say is WOW!!!!! It sounds better than the original Bose internal amp, and there’s a whole lot of room inside the Bose Sub System. Also much lighter, all I used to power it up is a Laptop Power Adapter, around 19 Volts with the positive in the center of the Power Connector. I’m now back in Business with the bose Sub Woofer using the Small but powerful Digital Amp.. I know Bose wouldn’t like the fact that I modified their Circuitry, but who cares! I’m planning on buying several more small Amps, just to have on hand.

Worth It So Far
Well worth the little bit of money this costs. I rewired a couple of old towers to be subwoofers. They are 8 ohm, I wired them in parallel so the circuit should be have 4 ohms of resistance. They do distort a bit at high volume, but at low to medium volume they sound pretty good. Hope it lasts, but if not I'll probably get another one.

Potencia sorprendente
SALUDOS

Good Sound for the price
Bought this for an amplified subwoofer that had failed. Bought a 24v power supply to go with it, to maximize the output, the combination worked well, the model I bought was the subwoofer version, but it does have some higher frequencies coming through, but not a problem for me, but maybe a true audiophile might find it annoying. Saved me hundreds over buying a new sub.

Very compact for large output.
Large amount of output power with high distortion. Okay for subwoofer as it requires no low pass filter.

Edited review
Edit: I wrote review earlier about bass amplifier of same amp model. Amazon gets me back to previous review as I am trying to write review of this other one. This full range mono amp is great. I build a speaker for it. About bass amplifier version: Amplifier is small and built in a nice looking way. To me it has one problem. It sounds great, but bass in higher frequencies go too up. I mean, that I can hear vocals and little bit of other instruments too, not only low tunes. I hope I explained it in correct way. It is not too expensive and it is working. Mixed feelings about this one.

Works Well
This little amplifier works very well for your budget, low power subwoofer needs. I use this amplifier to bring life to two 12 inch, ported, single enclosure subwoofers that used to be in a vehicle, now collecting dust in my basement. I recommend this product if you are in a similar situation. This amp is not to be mistaken for a replacement to a high powered, high quality amplifier. My car amplifier easily drives these subwoofers to their limit. The Nobsound subwoofer amplifier powers these subwoofers to a reasonable listening level but does not have the power to bring down a house similar to a high powered car amplifier. To maximize the effectiveness of this amplifier, it is important to make sure the resistance of the subwoofer is as close to 2ohms as possible. The amplifier has a built in crossover although I am unsure of the frequency. Overall, for the price to performance, this is a great little amplifier. Note that a power supply is not included, I purchased the Nobsound power supply meant for this product and believe the combo is good value.
