I'm a beginner lathe user BUT
I have an old craftsman 109 I just bought and these lathe bits are helping me learn about my lathe, its limits and a tools limits. AWESOME bits, clean cutting.. Trimmed aluminum and nylon just fine for a bench top lathes capabilities-well matched I think. Thank you!

Nice price, good quality
Nice little carbide cutting tools. They will work just fine untill my AXA tool post comes.

Excellent bits.
First time using these and they performed admirably. I machined some small brass pins for a knife and they cut clean without chattering at all.

Tool bits work very well, good value for money. Package arrived very late.
The tool bits fit very well in my Taig micro-II lathe, turned aluminum quite well. Very pleased with the actual product. The shipping was stated as 1-day delivery and ended up rather late. Whoever delivered it stated that, "It was handed directly to a resident." This is false, it was dropped onto the front porch.

Want to run your lathe?>
With replacable cutting blades these are easy to obtain and use. You have to be an expert to grind your own!

Very Cheap Quality Product
Very cheap quality tooling, 10/10 will NOT buy again.

Good budget option.
Great cutter for the price. I'm still a beginner, but I haven't managed to break any inserts yet, despite making a few stupid mistakes. Turns steel into hot, sharp strings of doom, and cuts 360 brass alloy like a dream.

Decent set of cheap bits, with a couple caveats
I've been using these for a couple years now. They are solid carbide bits in terms of function - if you have a microlathe they're decent and will cut through steel, stainless steel, bronze, brass, copper, whatever you put there, with relative ease. They are on the cheaper side, and a little fragile, so you need to use them with care. If your workpiece catches you will probably chip the bit, after which performance will be significantly degraded, and I've had no luck resharpening them even with a diamond file, I just had to rotate the insert and use that instead.Speaking of which, as other reviewers have noted, these inserts are very difficult to remove - the screws are tight and strip out easily, you have to be very careful. I stripped one, so after I wore down the carbide bit, I couldn't rotate it to use a fresh side. The others proved similarly difficult to manage. After some experimentation, I found a method that works. What I did was soak the head of the bit in acetone for a minute or so, take it out, dry it off completely, heat it up with a small torch to get it good and hot (not glowing, just hot), then put a few drops of 3-in-one oil on there. Let it soak in, dried up the screw head, and then the other four came out with a proper torx head and a little elbow grease. In general, decent bits for the money, but you get what you pay for. Not much more to it than that.
