Chords Are Often Wrong--Music Doesn't Sound Correct Because It Isn't
A so-so book with SOME TABLATURE in the first few bars and not after those. That means you've got to know the tempo of a piece, its transitions and so on to play anything that can sound credible from the music in this book. I recommend buying stuff like this at a brick and mortar music store so you can look at the book in its entirety before plunking down good money for a mediocre product.Need to mention that, while many of the chord substitutions work pretty well, others are simply wrong, sound wrong and make the piece not worth playing. If an author cannot properly transcribe a piece of music, they should learn that BEFORE authoring a book.

Great collection!
This is a good collection of songs for the uke. Most songs have the music, words, and chord tabs - unlike several books I've purchased lately that only have the chord tabs and words. It will be easy to arrange chord-melody from the included material.

Already Got My Money's Worth in the Preview
I just bought this hefty collection of well known jazz standards after playing through the first two tunes presented in the preview...At Last and Ain't Misbehavin'. Everything is here, sheet music, tabs, chord boxes. I thoroughly enjoyed the arrangements and chord selections so I figured for the price I was going get my money's worth even if i didn't like half of the 50 songs in the book! It should be understood by any buyer of a book like this whether jazz or blues or what have you, some of the chords might not sound good or even "right"...but that's OK. Usually all the chords are accurate and the player (you and me) can substitute or even come up with some finger positions that sound better to us than written. These tunes are also wonderful ways to practice jazz chording and to practice getting our fingers correctly placed. Some of the fun is noodling around until you find that cool jazz sound as written or even a substitute chord sound you like. Very satisfying. I didn't give it five starts because I haven't received it (hard copy) yet, but I am already working on the "freebies" including in the "Take a Look" section of the book. If I'm wrong about all this, I'll write an update but I think this is really going to be fun and informative. Cheers! PS - I haven't looked up all the titles but I'm going to bet that every single piece in this book has a video on You Tube. So, we don't even have to be able to read music to access the pieces we love.
