Atsko Sno-Seal 3.5. oz. (100 gram) with applicator Waterproofing

Easy and really potent stuff.
I was surprised at how little the darkening on the boots was. Everyone said dramatically, but all I noticed was that the really pale parts were made a little more even, so it did reduce the patina a bit immediately after application.I bought it for a pair of ugg motorcycle boots that I've had for almost 10 years and their water-resistance was comical by now. Couldn't even walk through wet grass without getting my toes wet. 4 coats on the toe and 2 everywhere else and now they just laugh at water. the leather was pretty dry feeling, even after a few coats of lexol, but this really seemed to give it back a lot of suppleness. The critical part is to use a hair dryer on high after applying each coat to let it really SOAK into the leather. Just wiping it on won't do much. the heat is critical. I put a rather big bead of it with my finger along the seam stitching to the sole of the boot and it soaked in really nicely. It takes a little while to do, maybe 20 minutes a boot. But the results are absolutely spectacular. I can't speak to the longevity yet, but it's just wax and oil, so theoretically it should last a long time. I used maybe 20% of the jar on two boots. But it did take them from being basically unusable (living in seattle, boots need to be kinda waterproof) to completely like new again. They're a little darker than when they were new, but it's leather, it's supposed to change throughout its life, and the leather went from feeling crispy dry to supple and soft and oh so waterproof again.Buy this stuff. If you don't own a hair dryer, this stuff is worth the $25 to get one.I'm going to do some watch straps and my canvas backpack with it next.

I got these for a pair of thorogood boots and they completely waterproof them. Also. Just did my gloves today so we'll see how that works out

Happy to find this still being sold
I treated a pair of hiking boots with snoseal decades ago. Those boots lasted many years and went thru two sole replacements. What finally killed them was the last sole replacement, the shoe repair guy bungled the job and the nails protruded into the shoe. The uppers were still in good shape. I suppose I could have had a third set of vibram soles installed but those boots made way back, and were very heavy and new boots were getting lighter and lighter. But I doubt I'll 20 years out or the light weight ones.

Works and minimal scent
This worked like a dream. I conditioned my leather the day before, let the boots sit out in the sun for a bit, and applied the wax using my fingers. The wax went on super easy, didn't really have a smell to it (I tried Skidmore's and that scent is rancid and strong). I kept checking on the boots every thirty minutes or so while they were in the sun, and reapplied wax to any spots where the leather had absorbed everything and gone dull. Once the boots stayed shiny all over, I knew it was all absorbed and let them sit for 24 hours. Then I used an old t-shirt rag and buffed the surface. Water beads right off! The leather definitely darkened, but I rather have dry boots.

Old School Leather Waterproofer/Conditioner
This stuff is old school legit. There is a reason why this brand has been around for so long. It soaks into leather with just a little bit of heat. I worked it in with my fingers and you can actually feel the leather taking it in.If you have old leather, this will absolutely rejuvenate it. As stated in other reviews, it will darken leather a shade or two, however, the richness of the natural color will come out, making it look moisturized and healthy.I’ve used it on a handmade leather knife sheath and didn’t have one complaint. Will definitely use this again in the future.

LONG TIME USER
Wanted to waterproof a new haversack I purchased. I have used SnoSeal for years on boots and leather gear. So I decided to go with a very reliable product. Amazon was offering a size that was just right for my project and with their fast delivery had it in a couple days. I put it on very thick and used a hair dryer to heat it. It liquefies fast and flowed into the seams and stitching. Gave great coverage. Now I have a waxed canvas haversack for about $30…..better than the ones for $150

Very good to have around the house
I got this to weatherproof my Dr. Martens boots, but ended up also using it on my Brooks bike saddle. Since then, I've used it for several other pairs of boots/shoes and it's just great to have a jar of this laying around the house. Even after several applications, I still have plenty left over,To apply, it's recommended that you heat the leather with a hairdryer so that the sno-seal can melt right in. After that you should let dry and then buff off any excess. I'd also recommend doing this about 2-3 times to make sure you've really got it covered. I try to reapply a few times per season and it really seems to help, but make no mistake, you still shouldn't go wading around in shin-deep mud puddles with all-leather boots. This stuff isn't magic, but it does protect and condition very well. I also like the slightly darker look that it gives my brown leather boots. The only negative I can think of is that the applicator is fairly cheaply made and comes apart after just one or two applications. Not a problem though, as you can just as easily apply it with any rag, sponge or even a paper towel.

It works
I used this on a pair of winter riding boots, if used correctly it absolutely does the job. The leather has to be pretty warm to open up the pores, so I waterproof in summer, setting the boots against the house foundation...Might take several applications, its good to re-apply until the leather stops drinking it.My boots were leather and nubuck (and i knew ahead of time it was going to mess up the nubuck) so I know first hand it will damage the look of suede and nubuck, so if fashion is what you're after this is not the choice for you.My only real complaint is that the little spongey applicator falls apart after a few uses, i usually wind up with the little sponge in my fingers and my fingers covered in goop.

Great stuff, used in on suede shoes and it came out exactly like expected. It darkened it slightly and flattened the pile. I love the way that they look and now my boots are waterproof!

FIne product, but note that the stocking/shipping information is misleading. It it is NOT shipped from stock held in the UK. It may well be "in stock" somewhere, but it has to be shipped to the UK first (seemingly by sea) before gets shipped to you.

Really good
Great, works just as described. It did however make my brown boots into dark brown boots. They still look great but if you have a light colour and don't want it to change, then this product may not be right for you.

but it actually makes them look better. No discoloration
Been using this for years. Put it on once a year and have never had a problem. Feet are always dry. This stuff is gold. I also use it on my leather mitts to waterproof them.Everyone should have a jar of this in their home. It might darken your boots a shade...but it actually makes them look better. No discoloration...just a tad darker. You will hardly notice. If you have black boots...then don't worry.
