This Ott lamp was incredibly easy to assemble, and cleverly styled to make managing the cord easy with a quick-connect dis-connect feature. The light has 3 settings, all giving natural levels which I have sorely needed in my apartment for early morning and late night reading, and for art work. The lamp is sleek and stylish and blends well with other lamps in the room, none of which are similar but now seem to be more interesting together. I like that the base is very heavy to keep the lamp stable on carpeted floors - no concern about tipping or leaning as is common with other floor lamps of similar design. I will definitely look at Ott lighting for future needs. Worth the price.

However, this lamp would not light an entire room, but this wasn’t the intended purpose for my purchase. (Lamp shown at highest brightness level in my photo.)The craftsmanship of the lamp parts does not match the excellent quality of the light output. This lamp leans and will not remain straight, no matter how tight the screw keys are twisted.Overall, the finish and parts are not fine quality, but the light output is saving my eyesight.

Bought this lamp to replace one that failed after years of use. This one provided a good light for knitting & crocheting as long as it lasted. However, after only 6 weeks of use, one of the arm adjustors failed, it will no longer tighten and the arm falls down, making the lamp unusable.I am very disappointed in Ott. Now I have to find another lamp to replace this one, a total waste of money.07/01/19 - Amazon referred me to OTTLite. OTTLite said it was my fault it failed. After arguing over several days, they said they would replace but i had to pay shipping and handling charges. I will NEVER buy another OttLite.

I bought this a year ago for my husband to work on guitars. Its lasted with no complaints and is easily adjustable. I was worried but it is good as new and super bright. Great for hobby work with small parts.
