Very nice!
**new update/edit April 2024 @ bottom**Fits 96-02 4Runners 2WD AND 4WD.**IMPORTANT INFO***If you jack up your lifted Tacoma or 4Runner and let the suspension droop and your upper control arm CONTACTS THE STRUT - THIS IS THE FIX FOR YOU!!!•EDIT 11/20•Great ride. Looks fantastic on the truck and it has held up to a lot of wheeling trips. Sturdy and has been a great add-on to my truck. Put ~25,000 miles so far and it’s been great with these upper control arms.My truck has Bilstein 5100 front and rear, OME 906 rear coils, when I bought the UCAs I also ordered moog inner and outer tie rods, sway bar links, and energy suspension front and rear sway bar bushings. So far, Had the UCAs on the truck for over a week now, put about 2500 miles on them so far and it’s been a smooth as butter ride from south central TX up to the mountains of NM. Hit some trails with them on the truck as well.During install there’s a few things that could stump you. The airbag sensor on driver side is in the way, disconnect battery and unbolt bracket for airbag sensor, then reconnect the battery is the best way of getting the UCA bolt out.On the ball joint itself, the ball joint stud has a hole for a cotter pin, but supplied in the box will be a Nylon lock nut which means no need to tighten the upper ball joint to factory torque specs. I was told the torque needed for that nylon lock nut was 40 ft/lbs. Had to call to know that information because there was no info to go based off of.UPDATE APRIL 2024***These upper control arms are fantastic. Can confirm. They have been all over the United States on this truck. I’ve had them through all terrains doing all sorts of crazy things and have never missed a beat. The ball joints after a few years now are still stout as ever. Truck now has close to 350k miles and 100k of those miles has had the freedom offroad upper control arms. Still rides smooth, still drives perfectly straight and if you fix all your front end components at once (don’t forget your wheel bearings boys!) these are an amazing upgrade compared to stock.

Great Upper Control Arms for the Money
I have an 07 FJ Cruiser and it was time to replace my upper control arms. My FJ lifted 2" with 33" tires and since I lifted it, the steering seemed a little loose and wanted to wander with uneven sections in the road. After doing some research, I found out that lifting an independent front suspension vehicle changes the geometry of the suspension so that it can not get the correct amount of caster during an alignment. This accounts for the wandering feeling. These UCA's correct the geometry so the suspension can be aligned correctly. After I installed these UCA's and took it in for an alignment, my caster went from 2.5 positive caster to 4.7 positive caster. This took care of the wandering. The installation was super easy and everything fit up exactly. It took me about 3 hours to install both sides. One tip for FJ Cruiser installation, on the driver side, remove the battery and battery plate to remove the UCA bolt.As for value, I looked at stock OEM UCA's and they were around $500 for a set and did not correct for my lift. So, $400is a bargain. These things are super beefy too, much heavier duty than stock. They are not uni-balls. You can replace the ball joints and the ball joints have grease fitting as well.I've read that they work just as good on Tacomas too, pretty much the same suspension.I would definitely recommend for a lifted FJ. I don't know about FJ's that are stock height.

Noise free and great build quality!!
These are great tubular upper control arms! Wanted some clearance for my new 2.5" Swayaway coilovers and these did just that. I was not expecting that these would also get rid of the front end shimmy at freeway speed and the benefit of solid handling on turns! Also the pivot bushings are nice and beefy just like the ball joints, have owned many Toyota trucks with all different expensive off road suspension parts and the quality of Freedom Off Road is just as good if not better than others! Price wise is a no brainier and the noise and low maintenance is the added bonus for me! Installing these in my garage was a breeze and just a tip, torque them when the tires are on the ground with the weight of your truck is on the suspension! You will not be disappointed if buying them.

Very impressed so far
Installed on an 07 GX with an Eibach lift kit (spring perch on lowest setting) due to excessive angle on the stock upper ball joint. I looked at JBA but I felt that routinely greasing the bushings isn't something I wanted to be bothered with, and I worried about the adjustability of the ball joint being more of a liability than it was worth, and I wasn't doing some crazy monster truck build that made it necessary (I only lifted it because it didn't cost any more than a stock-height air suspension delete). Plus they're about $50 cheaper and were in stock, at least when I ordered mine.At 2" of lift, the ball joint angle is basically neutral which I'm very happy about.Seems to be of very good build quality. Doesn't come with the control arm mounting bolt & nut, so budget another $35 for those. But they come with replacement castle nuts and cotter pins for the ball joints.I'd recommend using a box wrench to loosen and fasten the nuts to avoid possibly breaking the bolts holding the brake line unions on the frame rails just so you can fit a socket in there. If the bolts break, there's no good way to access them to drill/tap/heli-coil/whatever and you probably don't want your brake lines flopping around.I'd also recommend having a grease gun handy because I couldn't tell if they were pre-greased.Installation was no harder than if you were replacing with oem replacement. They also fixed my steering wheel shimmy at highway speeds. Bonus!

04 tundra lift clunk issue solved
After installing the oem HD coils and bilstein struts, the coil springs hit the stock control arms and rattled. These upper control arms solved that.

Painful to find replacement ball joints for them.
They helped with my camber issues. But a few months after install the one likes to squeak now. To add its hard to find replacement ball joints for them.
