CEM DT-178A 3-Axis Vibration Datalogger

Documentation is not great

Bought on auction site. Device works okay and appears to be a clone of VB300 by Extech (software appears to be identical through not interchangeable). What does not work as advertised on the DT-178A is the vibration threshold - device will never turn on to record impacts in "stand-by" mode no matter how hard you smack it. It works great when sampling every x units of time and also works in real-time mode when tethered to PC - can even do real-time FFT (nifty). I have not seen software updates to this device while VB300 is up to V2.8.
