great looking box... really impractical though.
i'll start with the pro's of this fly fishing cork box... the outside looks beautiful (only 1 blemish, which was patched over, so that's no problem), I purchased the forest colour/ darker one, and i'm not gonna lie, it is a little lighter than the pictures advertised, but i kind of prefer it the way i got it.The con's i'll list below.1. The inside of the box looks and feels cheap (though truth be told i did only pay £7.99 and i wasn't expecting the best but still i was expecting better, you can see gorilla glue like substance.)2. *big point* The clip that is meant to secure this fly box shut isn't secure at all *see photo's*. I have a feel that this has a good chance of opening at any given time.3. The hinges on it aren't going to last forever, mine actually has a small crack already. They are made from cheap plastic given a year of use i can imagine it snapping and the box rendered semi useless.4. The cork was already split and peeling away on the edges of the inside. I know that it will inevitably start to flake away anyway (which is doomed to happen), but considering i've had it for about 20 minutes, that's too soon...overall it's a nice looking but really cheap quality fly box. I can't be asked to vy for a refund as it's not a major loss but take this on board... if you're after some cheap kit, with little long term practicality i'd recommend this. If you want anything with longevity or quality do not purchase this fly box.
