hello! these are great addition to split peas and potato or yellow moong bean ,you can soak them over night drink the water and eat the prunes ,they taste great and are great laxative! mainly used in persian and armenian cooking ,not 100% sure where they are grown IRAN or Neighboring former Russian states would be my guess!
