Lion Brand Yarn Feels Like Butta Yarn, Brown

My new favorite yarn - and it doesn't split! Very easy to work with and so soft!

3/25/19 Update: I started my project and have not gotten far. This yarn has really been difficult for me. It's hard to keep on the needles and I never got close to gauge with any size needles. My project will not be completed anytime soon.I read the other reviews and this yarn sounded perfect so I ordered it. I was more than a little alarmed when I found out it was coming in 3 separate shipments, but all the dye lots matched! In the first few days trying to work it I had all the problems imaginable. Lots of splitting, slipping off the metal needles, a knot (ends joined) in the first few inches of my swatch, and very difficult to pick up dropped stitches. But I ordered some bamboo needles and kept working it until I thought that I had it under control. The color is not as intense as I would like--it looks almost faded--but I plan to continue with my project. I would not buy it again. I do love the feel of it and expect it to drape very nicely.

This is softer than I ever imagined possible, and the yarn doesn’t knit while I’m going which is nice and even though I’m very basic in my crocheting like beginner level, it looks beautiful and neat.

This is my favorite yarn to use for products now! It is so soft! And I was surprised by how quickly I received it after purchase! Highly recommend!

Purchased this yarn in brown to make little baby bear hats. The yarn, while thin, is extremely soft. The only reason for a star less is that the yarn was molded to the plastic packaging that it came in which required a bit of scraping to get the gunk off.

Used lion brand yarn for years. Chose this color to make hair for a crocheted doll. Hard to find in local stores.

I think this yarn is alright - honestly it feels almost like a leather based yarn with how it glides through your hand. And yeah, it’s really soft, definitely soft enough for a baby blanket. I personally didn’t enjoy working with it as much as say, red heart soft - the yarn is thin and with that when you work with it you can feel these strings inside it which bugged me quite a bit. Also, it’s a very dull yarn, it has no shine to it - if that’s what you’re looking for, go for it. It’s a good quality and is incredibly soft. But presentation wise, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.

I purchased one skein to use in a multi-yarn project and was impressed with how much softer this was with other acrylic yarns. My only complaint is that the skein is small. This yarn feels thick and snuggly.

If you’re expecting it to be the size that it is in stores it’s not. They are only small 100g balls... not worth the price considering they’re even more expensive than the large balls. Order on the lion brand website instead and save your money!

I would not buy this yarn again...

So soft! Perfect for newborns and the colour is solid.
