this is the perfect mug for those who are retiring from their primary job but continuing to work part-time in another field. that was my dilemma in looking for a cute gift for a friend. he was escaping his horrendous bureaucratic 9 to 5 from which he derived a pension, but he was going to continue to work part-time in a field he loves. so, the usual retirement stuff about no more alarm clocks, spending the rest of your days on the golf course yada yada didn't apply. then i found this mug and my search and dilemma were over. yay!

The best mugs have puns on them, the real tragedy here is that by design there will be less people to see it.

I got the cup in the mail, box looked undamaged and the cup was wrapped in bubble wrap, unable to move. So what I don't get is how it got chipped...I bought it for my boss as a gift and was so disappointed it was chipped. I'm glad I opened it to check. The only reason I did was because my sister had just received a ceramic bowl from amazon that was shattered inside a perfectly fine box.

This was purchased for a teacher's retirement (white mug with black lettering). The mug is a good quality and the saying appears on both sides of the mug.

I gave this to my Father this past Christmas, who's anxiously counting the days until his retirement this year. He had a good laugh when he opened it up and it'll get plenty of use as he enjoys coffee.

Was a big hit and perfect for one of those rare lucky ones who still get a pension. Quality mug in a medium size cup - not one of those cheap, thin, small ones.
