I been wanting to grow some plants for a while but with UK weather it will be hard.I went to my friends house and I saw this and apprently it produces similar lights to the sun to allow photosynthesis.And I bought it for my alovea planet and I can see a tiny difference. I only use it 2 hours a day due to circumstances. So far I can see the different.The build quality is amazing. Comes with its own timer and small stand where this can be hooked to anything steady. Really top quality build.The lights are bright it can't be even used as light. But that's not the purpose of this item.I am now looking to get bigger version.Try this make before trying others. The quality is outstanding. It even withstands water. So can be used outside in the rain.The remote is well detailed so no manual is needed to operate. Comes with specific time modes and easy light mode switch.

Wanted to grow my own herbs but due to lack of light in my kitchen have failed in the past. I have used this for a week now and the seeds I have planted have already started to germinate. I especially like the timer as i can put it on and go to work, you can choose from 3, 9 and 12 hours. It also has different light modes depending on the plant. Easy to use and position, has a clamp base to attach to a ledge or table, clear instructions.

Well. The first day. And after three hours of this light my cheese plant was looking so much happier, as was my blue star fern. I was shocked. After just one day! The clip is strong. The arms are, as one reviewer said, heavy for the clip. But. They can be bent, as they are flexible. It just takes working out how to balance them. And they CAN be balanced. The stems holding the lamp are sooooo flexible! Allowing real variable positioning. This is so useful. And means the distance covered can be made very large.It is VERY bright! And you can see the plants immediately begin to absorb the light as soon as you turn it on!There is a switch set on the cord itself. It does come with instructions that are simple. The on switch is at the bottom. The timer next to that. And brightness next to that. The timer works by colour. Press once and you get the first timer option; for three hours it goes blue, press again for the six hours option it goes green etc, so you can time it as long or short as you like - in three hour intervals only. Up to nine hours -or three presses! And it automatically sets to ‘on going’ if you turn it off at the power source. So make sure you are aware of this if you plan to go out! Because if you turn it on, and do not use the timer function, it will stay on forever! The plug gets a little warm, but not much. And it is utilised by a usb going into the plug. Very useful. So if you have USB ports on your plug sockets, it’s one less plug to worry about!The brightness setting is tricky, as it is hard to work out, if you are trying to work out the highest brightness. There is no indication of how many ‘presses’ of the button you need. So you have to gauge it by eye. Which if you are partially sighted is difficult! Each button (on, timer and brightness) has a light, so you know it’s on. Although the timer does have a light on even if you are not using it - be aware of this.Be careful where you place the clip, as if you do it sideways on a shelf, the way I needed too, it could fall off! The cord is a good length. The lamp itself (where the bulbs are) is very long, and has great range. The glass is very, very thin, so be very careful moving that part!The switch bit does feel cheap. But this is only a bottom end lamp. And it is fantastic value for what it is. And comes with a two year warranty, which is why I purchased it. I am so glad I brought this. But most importantly, so are my plants. Which were getting SAD because of lack of sun. I have noticed new growth after only a few hours of exposure to this lamp. I am extremely happy with it and highly recommend it.Super fast devilry by the seller. Well packed too.

I have only been using these for around 7 days, mine is the 3 head version.My Cacti look a lot better now, the supplied power suppy (usb plug) gets a bit on the warm side.I may replace it with one of my more powerful ones, as I may well get another set of these and plug them both into my other plug.I did nearly talk myself into a much bigger grow light, but as these have done so well, I may just get another set, and have one set set to red, and the other blue.The timer is quite a small thing that is in the power chord, but it works well.I have mine about 4 inches away from my Cacti, and give off minimal heat.The clamp is strong and once on will hold all 3 of the lights firmly in place.If you need to know more just ask ….

Absolutely brilliant grow lamp at a great price. I’ve bought it to help my young lemon plants through the winter months (one plant is fruiting, despite being quite a juvenile plant). The lamp gives off ample light for these two plants and more. In early spring, I’ll be using it to bring seedlings on early for my veg beds and flower borders, as I have suffered with very ‘leggy’ seedlings in previous years. I love how this grow lamp has a timer, 3 separate settings for blue/red/mixed lighting and also radiates that light over a large space, whilst maintaining a compact size. It has a cushioned clip which allows for easy positioning on a table, bench or window-sill. It remains cool and having had it on timer for 6 hours a day since delivery, there are no scorch marks on any leaves. I’m one very happy gardener!

The lights themselves do a good enough job. The timer isn't very accurate and drifts an hour or so per fortnight so needs regular re-setting. But it's let down by the supplied power adapter being poor quality. I purchased two sets of lights, and in both cases the adapter failed after a couple months normal use. I don't know yet how readily the seller will replace these power adapters under warranty, or whether the replacements will be any better. Unfortunately, to buy new replacements myself at correct power rating will cost half as much as I paid for the lights themselves :-(.

As usual I am sceptical when it comes to such solutions but due to my plant dying I thought I should try these. After a few days using it with the different options I noticed improvement on the leaves making the plant looking healthier. The design is simple and can be fitted anywhere . Really pleased with my purchase and I have recommended to friends and family what I called my discovery :)
