If your axis is post 2021 you might need to modify
If you have an axis built after 2021 you might need some #8 screws from a gunsmith in my case, drill the holes out on the base to fit the wider screws and mount. Fits perfectly otherwise on my axis 2 Xp 270 win, besides not having the proper screws and rail not being drilled for the larger screws not a bad deal.This scope rail is made for #6-48 screws which are supplied.

Does not fit my savage axis .243
Screws are too small for my receiver. Original screws don’t fit this base either. Mine is a savage axis not axis 2.
