So far, so good, but BUYER BEWARE!
I will try to be as comprehensive as possible, because I've read through hundreds of reviews for replacement batteries from different companies, and I could never find one with enough details.I have PRIME shipping, and the battery arrived right on time. It was on my porch, first thing in the morning of the second day of shipping. Upon opening the battery, I noticed it did have the HP logo which made me feel a little better about the purchase. It took a little effort to get the battery securely into my laptop, but it ended up fitting just fine.I've been using this battery for my HP dv6t Notebook PC for about a week, and so far so good. On "POWER SAVER" mode, and keeping my activity relatively light (2 or 3 tabs open, browsing one and switching back and forth), my laptop says the battery has between 8-9 hours of life on a full charge. While using it at maximum brightness, and doing extensive work on my laptop (6 tabs open, one of the tabs is online radio, the others are Facebook and tabs to do my work), my laptop says the battery life is anywhere between 4-5 hours on a full charge.I was very satisfied with these results, as my previous battery had died down to the point where it only charged up to 45 minutes worth of battery life. The battery is also pictured correctly. In order for your HP laptop to accommodate a 9-cell battery, it will have that odd protrusion coming out of the bottom. I didn't mind this though, as it provided better air circulation for my laptop, and tilted the keyboard forward at a better angle.***WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE***As I mentioned previously in the review, my old battery could only hold a charge up to 45 minutes. I had purchased an MU06 replacement battery back in March 2014. During the first couple months of usage, everything was running smoothly. But around my 3rd month of using the MU06 battery, the cells slowly started dying. They kept dying until the battery could only charge up to 45 minutes. I was unable to return it, since it had been 3 months already. And up until my MU09 arrived, I had been using an old battery that was becoming more useless with each passing day.I purchased this MU09 battery from a seller named "LIVEE". It certainly depends which seller you purchase this from. And unfortunately you're likely taking a gamble with most of the companies. However, for my battery everything checks out fine in the first week. I will be keeping an eye on this battery when the 3rd month comes around, and will likely update this review. At the very least, you'll be able to feel confident about buying from "LIVEE" if this battery works out for me.UPDATE 3/10/15After 3 months of usage, the battery is still alive and kicking. LIVEE seems to be a good seller to buy from.UPDATE 9/3/15After 9 months of usage, the battery is still working great! Plenty of battery life, and the cells show no signs of dying.

Great battery for my HP laptop. Outlasted it. Reasonable price for my wallet.
"Long Life" indeed. Outlasted my HP laptop! This was a great battery. It was great to have had mobility restored to a laptop what was otherwise tethered to a power source, on account of a dead (original) battery. It was a bonus that the battery lifted the back edge of the laptop, allowing for greater airflow to the CPU fan and making the keyboard easier to use. See, this is an end-of-life review. :) Yes, I'm one of those reviewers, in this instance, who waits a very long time to review his purchase and who doesn't jump to hasty conclusions. No... I'm not forgetful... or... a procrastinator... ;)I would purchase additional batteries from this vendor, if I had the need. I can recommend them. Hope this was helpful...?

Fits the PC, “AKA Laptop” as intended.
Needed a replacement battery for my Wife’s HP Pavilion Entertainment “Laptop”. While this wasn’t the exact battery that originally came with the PC, it was according the the specs the recommended replacement. So far so good, while the old battery indicated it was not charging this one does. Can’t say as to how long it will stay charged in use as the Laptop is continually connected to a power source and brightness doesn’t seem to be a relevant item to rate. Basically it is doing what we wanted it for and if you believe the label it is a genuine HP part.

It actually does give you 8 hrs of life!
I was skeptical before I bought this but it actually does give you over 8 hours of juice! The issue is, however, you have to change your battery setting to "POWER SAVER". On "HP Recommended" setting, it should give you 3-4 hours....MAYBE 5-6 hours IF YOU'RE LUCKY!!! Great battery...and worth the money. Hopefully this battery lasts like this for a long time. Remember if you're going to leave your computer plugged in just take out the battery...it's bad to overcharge your batteries. If you're not going to use your battery...take it out but keep it at 30-50% charged and store it somewhere cool. This will help prolong the life of your battery. Also, when you get your new battery...charge it up to 100% (the battery indicator button on the bottom of this HP MU09 battery will let you know when it's full)....then turn on the computer.ONE LAST THING: Be careful who you buy this from on Amazon...sometimes sellers are actually selling you non-genuine HP batteries...make sure the seller indicates that it's a GENUINE HP BATTERY.

So far, so good--six hour life with wifi and excel running.
(updated Jan 2013= my original review was November 2012)I've actively been testing this battery. Pretty good life so far, with plenty of sleep/on and wifi on/off and excel and powerpoint. So far --after two charges--it looks like a good six hours with a full charge and screen at about 70% brightness.Sticks out as most have mentioned, but a smaller "foot" than the 12 cell battery if you've used that.I also have noticed that with my old dying battery, 1/2 a bar on the power meter meant about 60-90 mins use.... This new battery still has a good 3 hours left even after reaching 1/2 bar. But takes getting used to after working with the old battery. I suppose there's a widget to REALLY get your battery power measured with greater accuracy--but I guess I don't care enough.ONE ISSUE-- doesn't fit exactly as tight as the original battery-- but doesn't rattle around.(--Update on this "issue." I have made sure I click the battery in tight, and no issues with it being losing taking it in and out of a bag several times a day)Battery showed up in a plain box in a plain anti static bag--no HP branding, no Compaq branding--no branding at all--which worried me at first then I remember the original batteries never have any branding either.Update--Battery is still fine after a year of use

Works like the original battery
Works perfectly with my laptop and lasts about as long, give or take, as the original battery.
