Nice keyboard, a few minor draws
I picked up this keyboard from Amazon a few weeks back and I have to say overall I am happy with my purchase. I like to work in the dark so the lighted keys are great and the left and right edges of the keyboard have lights that illuminate the desktop which gives it all a nice ambient glow. The keyboard itself has a low profile, and the keys are smooth and quiet. It has a series of hotkeys: some media player controls, internet browser home button, back/forward in browser, email, search, and an illumination key which changes the keyboard from blue to red lighting. Overall the keyboard is great, but like most products it is not perfect. Some other people have complained that the keys stick, I have only had a couple keys stick which was a little annoying at first but they loosened up with repeated pressing. My two main complaints are the the shortcut keys themselves and the "Enter" key. First you cannot reprogram the shortcut keys so they do the default function on your computer. For example I use Zune on my computer as my music player, and though I have it set as my default music player whenever I press "play/pause," "skip," "stop" or any of the music player keys it always forces Windows Media Player open on my computer. I have tried it on my roommate's computer where he uses iTunes and the same thing happens, Windows Media Player opens. I have yet to find a way around this, so for now it remains a minor annoyance. Note: I haven't tested this on a Mac yet so I can't say for sure what it will do there. And really what bugs me the most about the keyboard is the position and shape of the "Enter" key. It is in the same place as on all other keyboards, but instead of being two keys wide across the row, it is one key wide and sits in two rows. It's hard to describe, but the best way I can say it is look at your keyboard, in any other keyboard I have ever used the "Enter" key is to the right of the " key and is elongated across the row with the ']' and '\' keys sitting above it; on this keyboard the '\' is next to the " key and the enter key is still elongated but it is up in the next row where the '\' key used to be. I have gotten used to it now, but for weeks it was rather annoying to instinctively reach over to press Enter only to hit the \ key instead.Other than what I said above, I have no other real complaints with the keyboard. The lights do stay illuminated even when the computer is asleep, but you can turn the dimmer wheel to off and it's fine (the lights do turn off when the computer is powered down, just not when it is sleeping).

Nice features from an illuminated keyboard
I've been using a Logitech illuminated keyboard for several years now, but (unlike most Logitech products) I really haven't taken to it, mainly because it's rather dim, it inexplicably lacks the key that serves the function of the right mouse click, and because the keys too often don't work.Too often I've had to punch hard on the keys when they didn't work the first time around.Logisys is definitely an off brand, and the documentation is nonexistent, but I'm happier with this than I've been with the Logitech.Another thing I like is that it also works with PS/2 ports, freeing up a USB port; although you still have the option to use USB if you prefer. It's also nice to have the addition of hot keys for backward/forward in web browsers, e-mail, favorites, web browser, search engine (Google by default), up/down volume, mute, media player, and play/pause/forward skip/backward/stop skip media player.I'm a Linux user, but I was able to get the hot keys to work using a nice little opensource program called "XBindKeys," for those Linux users out there who might be interested in knowing how, although the foward/backward web browser button and the media player control buttons work without needing that program. It's nice that the illumination can be switched between blue and red with a single button that serves as a toggle between the two colors, and that the brightness is adjustable with a rheostat dial on the lower right.Another small but nice feature is that the illumination has small windows on each side of the underside of the keyboard to provide some extra illumination directly on the desktop, which makes it easier to get around in a dimly lit room. Most importantly of all, and all of the keys are more positive and no longer require extra key presses to work, and the missing right click key is here, with my one beef being that the keys are slightly stiff, although I expect them to get easier to use once my hands get acclimated to using them and after the break in with use.In answer to anyone who wants to know, yes, Logisys does include the USB to PS/2 adapter with the keyboard itself. This is a big improvement.

Good entry level gaming keyboard!
This keyboard is a very good entry level gaming keyboard and its also a great buy for the price.Pros: Back lit, many multi media keys such as an internet explorer key or the volume keys. It can change from red to blue lighting and you can turn the light up or down in brightness. The keys have a nice click to it and you can hear them when you are gaming. It is nice and thin but durable too!Cons: Back Light is not as bright as I hoped, Keys stick once in a while, Keys feel kind of cheap, cannot program macros or program any button for that matter, Light flickers off and on once in a while, and pressing 6+ keys at once will cause it to miss a key press. All in all i think this is a great entry level gaming keyboard especially for the price. The multi media keys are great and i use them quite frequently. I have been pleased to say the keyboard has not died yet and is still going strong through all of my gaming. The volume and music player keys are great and are helpful mid game so you do not have to alt tab out to change songs or turn down the volume!P.S. the light is much more bright when you are gaming in the dark and it helps a lot!
