Look at this thing. This is basicly a hunk of metal with three holes and a ball hooked to one side. For those folks wanting to install a Gas Spring on something this beast is a must. The beautiful thing is, you can install it any old way your heart desires. Screws, Rivits, heck you can even use nails if you bend the pointy end over. After thes things of shining beauty are installed and you hook a gas spring to them they allow for the actuation of that gas spring just like they were made to do. A thing of beauty I tell you. Some times I just sit there opeing an closing the door I got them hooked to and think to myself..... I just dosen't get any better than this. Only suggestion is don't get emotional in front of your buddies after seeing these things work, they will think your girly or something.

These worked for installing some Suspa struts on a camper truck window. The holes were not the same size as the original mounts so some hole widening was required.They seem kind of cheap to me because the ball is secured by smashing the back of the pin so it is wider than the hole. It looks like it could eventually break or work loose with time or strong pressure. The mounts this one replaced were constructed much better in that the back of the pin was a circular area that was appreciably larger than the hole diameter.Also, these seem expensive to me. They should be like $2. They can be found for less with some internet searching.

Well... I haven't actually mounted these as of yet, but still wanted to leave a comment.I'm replacing the bed lift struts in an RV. What I have are the older style with the retainer clip, and wanted to upgrade to the 10mm ball.I had ordered 2 struts, and I made the mistake of ordering 2 of these, as well as 2 of the counterparts, (tops and bottoms...).There are '2' of these in a package, so I only needed to order 1 package.So I've got an extra set now for when I need to change something else. I'm not going through the hassle of returning the extra sets I have.So other buyers, keep that in mind when ordering.One thing I was very unhappy with when I got these, was that there were, 'no screws included'.So you've got to try to use your existing screws, or for any 'new' application or installaton, get in your vehicle, burn up some gas, to run out to a hardware srore to buy screws.Really? They couldn't have included a few screws along with these brackets?

Photo showed Stainless Steel. The brackets I received were painted black, but they don’t show on a Boat Engine Hatch Cover, so it doesn’t matter.I would have given 5 stars if they had matched the picture.

Used these to install struts for trap door in crawl space. Could not lift door safely. Now can lift and close with one hand.

Ordered as a back up to have when I fix my toolbox and planned on welding em on. Will have a bit more grinding as they came black. They seem heavy duty though so if I do use em I’ll update later.

Old canopy brackets were missing got these installed easy and worked well

as advertised and they seem fine.

The product seems strong and well-made. But the advertised color is SILVER and the product I received is BLACK. Just beware that they are sending random colors apparently.
