Great quality!I just ironed the silk after I got it, to get all the wrinkles out, and trimmed the little stray threads off the ends, and now these flow so beautifully in the wind when I'm dancing with them.They look like water and the colors are so vibrant that it stimulates an onrush of emotion just seeing them fly through the sky!The bamboo fans fit nicely in your hands once you get a good grip on them (I have small hands).(I attached a video but don't judge because I'm a beginner!)Highly recommend :)

These are nice for the price. The material is thinner than it appears in the pictures and the coloring is lighter - mine looked almost nothing like the picture. The ends are not hemmed which will cause issues in the future if I'm not careful because they could easily fray and start to look tattered. They are good for a practice fan to learn on but I wouldn't use these for a performance as they seem cheaply made. They are very lightweight which is good for learning on and the staves seem pretty nice although they are very flexible and may splinter or break with too much force. They came in their own carry bag which is nice to keep them clean and less likely be damaged.I'm giving these fans 5 stars because, even though I'm not thrilled with them, they seem to be just as advertised and are working perfectly for the purpose I purchased them - which is practice. I received a right and a left hand one which is vital. You definitely get what you pay for and these were the cheapest I could find so it's as expected.

These fans are absolutely beautiful! I will say the following though:1. They're not dyed the same. I have a degree in textile design so I know it's tough to get an EXACT match, but basically what probably happened is that the 2 fans I received were either a) not from the same dye bath or b) one was dipped longer than the other. One end of mine is super orange yellow and the other is a yellow-yellow, if that makes sense.2. The mm of this silk is only 6mm (fairly thin & sheer) - so this makes them super extra flowy in the air. I was hoping for a slightly heavier (7 or 8 mm) weight for the price of these fans.3. The fans are packaged super tight. Had a lot of creases. So many that I bought a steamer to help get them out - hopefully in time the harsh creases in fabric will go away with more use and steaming. DO NOT IRON THIS SILK. It's so thin you'll probably burn a hole through it unless you're super extra careful. I wouldn't risk it. Hang them up with a pants/skirt hanger & team them instead.4. When I steamed these fans I realized there were a few too many holes/rips/fiber degradation. The silk is very thin like I said & basically I foresee ANY time I knick this fabric with the other fan (bamboo base) during tricks, it'll rip/tear holes in the fabric quite easily.I'm not returning because they already took a few weeks to get here and I don't want to wait for a return package & then send another pair back - it'll take too much time. These are just fine for my first pair of belly dance fans. Hope this review helps others. Thanks!

Excellent quality for the money. My only complaint is that the black isn't as opaque as I would like, and the shorter "backside" piece that covers the fan isn't hemmed. Seems to be sturdy so far, and the length is just long enough for effect, not so long that you're tripping over it (I'm 5'3").

Love the colors. Such a fun prop. The silk seems a little on the heavy side, vertical flow is challenging. Overall a great set of silks for practice or a beginner. And they came pretty quickly considering they came all the way from China.

I'm a professional bellydancer and circus owner. Ordered four pairs. Arrived extremely quickly in the states; took only a week during Christmas shipping season. All the fans are gorgeous and sturdy, left and right hand fans, real habotai silk (my guess is 8mm), none are unravelling, and the dye colors are bright, saturated and gorgeous. This is a really great product for the price.

After searching for the ideal set I came across these beautiful pastel toned fan veils. I loved that the colors were a bit muted and not as garish as the brighter toned veils. They are gorgeous in person and just the right length if you are on the shorter side (I am 5' 1") I always get compliments when I dance with these fans and many friends refer to them as my "unicorn" or "mermaid" veils. The only downside is that the fans are very stiff and sometimes a challenge to dramatically open during performance. They have loosened up over time. Would love if they came in a plastic fan option.. which would be more comfortable and easy to maneauver while dancing. I love these fans and they are great for the reasonable price but would consider investing in a pricier set if looking for something more professional
