Solid Product that is even easier to use.
I have used the Corby pants presses for years and they have proven to be durable and do a great job of keeping a sharp crease in my pants. I got this unit to go in a second home and it has an even better timer than the one I already had. The rest of the unit is sturdy - no loss of quality or change of design over time.

Great Product
I've been using Corby for years. Just went from the 5500 to the 7700 after 14 years of use. This presser does exactly what it says it will. Puts a nice press and a reasonably sharp crease on your trousers. Personally I press for 45 minutes on one side (facing the foam pad) then I turn the trousers around and press the other side for 45 minutes. Then let I let them cool before taking them out of the presser. Great product.

Loved the concept, but did not work.
The original item delivered did not get warm, so I immediately returned it to replace rather than ask for a refund. But though the replacement did heat correctly, I was convinced that the design was flawed. Pants came out more wrinkled, not less.

Good, but not by itself.
Unfortunately, this item will always leave creased wrinkles on my garments. I purchased this item as an alternative to ironing because I am lazy.I found that it does a great job at making old creases look like new, and it might even make new creases, but my biggest issue is that there's no way to apply tension to the pants while closing them in the press, so I always have a couple huge unwanted creases pressed into my garment.I resolved this by using the product in conjunction with wrinkle release spray. I'll press my pants for 45 minutes, take them out, hang them up, and hit both sides of each pants leg with some wrinkle release and rub them down and leave the pants up to dry.The bottom line is that the product isn't a miracle machine by itself, but it's incredibly useful to me when used in conjunction with other products.

Does the job.
Does the pressing job I needed it for.Had to replace the plastic feet after putting together. Amazon gave me a credit to help with issue.

Still has wrinkles
After removing dress pants I always have a herringbone wrinkle pattern which looks like the heating elements in the unit. Anyone else having this problem. If so, can it be corrected? My previous Corby lasted 12 years and I didn't have this problem.

British Engineering Fails Again
*Keep in mind that I bought this item from Amazon Warehouse so you might not have the same experience I did with a new one*Upon putting the thing together it became pretty apparent that a lot more effort could have been put into the design to make it easier to use. The thing that annoyed me the most was that it didn't have equipment that keeps the bottom part of the front board from falling off. I found myself constantly trying to put the entire board back in place whenever I opened the machine. When it came to operation, there was absolutely no change in how many wrinkles my pants had no matter what time setting I used. I touched the inside of the thing to see how warm it got and I think just breathing on my pants could've done a better job.It reminded me so much of my old Jaguar- British, had nice little touches that you wouldn't think to put in (like a hanger or coin tray) but fell apart easily and wasn't anything special in terms of performance.Overall, completely disappointed. I gave it a few days just in case I had something wrong but I did everything how I was supposed to. This thing just plain sucked.

worth it, wool/cotton pants
I have some wool/cotton(65/35 %) pants that do get rather wrinkled after a wash. This is a lot better to get the wrinkle out, just put it in and let it go at it. 5 pairs of pants a week, simple kind of plug and play.
