I feel like i use more of this salt than the pink stuff.. and it makes your food look gray in color.. good flavor, but not as good as Himalayan.also, hard to judge how much pepper you added to your food..

It does hint of smokiness straight out of the bag. I'm enjoying it and I like the black specs for visual contrast. This brand can go right into the shaker--no grind needed. I'm using it on eggs and flatbreads. Hawaiian lava salt is a newcomer to my pantry and now I plan to make it a staple. I find the pink stuff has no more culinary merit than Morton's table salt so I'd rather put that kind of money here.I got this at a discount for my review.
