My 5 year old granddaughter asked for these and her Kindergarten teacher Mother encouraged my purchase. This was a Christmas gift and she has read them all three times. I will be ordering more for her because she loves them so much. Kids who are home for Covid can use all the interesting things they can get, especially BOOKS!Patty from Bonita

My daughter (7) loves these. She reads at least one a day. This is a great series for kids transitioning from early readers to chapter books. For the first couple of books my kid and I took turns reading chapters to build up her stamina/make reading entire books less intimidating, then I started having her read it to me.There are little paper coins on the last page. There's a website to print out a poster and add the coins to so you can display how many you have read.

My daughter has just discovered these books. She asked me to get them for her birthday which I did. She loves the books but she has come to me many times while reading showing spelling mistakes in them. She has started to make a list of those mistakes. This is sad if an 8 year old has to find and correct mistakes in her reading.

This collection of books is loved by my granddaughter. She can't wait to move on to the next book in the collection- reading is fun now.

My 7 year old daughter loves them. She power reads and can get through one in a night. After reading about 12 I asked which have been her favourite. She thought about it, had a giggle then told me 3 and the reasonings that made her laugh. Great to see children flourish and be taken in by a book changing from just learning to read words but also being taken in by what they are reading.She’s already asked for the next set once she’s completed these.She also likes the fact at the back of books it tells you which to read next and if you print off the chart from the website. After completing each VLK there is a little square on the last page to track progress into becoming a fairy princess!
