Update: So my review is the same but Ive now had issues with final products weeks after I made it. Any fragrance oil added fades after about 6 weeks and is replaced by a strange old play dough smell. I even made unscented body butter and it did the same. The smell made me stop seeing the butter I made with this Shea. I have redone my recipe 3 times Ruth the same result. May work better in mixtures with less Shea and more mango or kokoum butter.Edit: Some insight for those who are leary of dark spots or dirt: Unrefined Shea butter is created typically in Africa outdoors and naturally stored. There are less regulations then in the US but this is how you get natural, raw product. It is dirty because it is derived directly from the nuts on the tree it grew from so yes dirt is involved.As a solution simply melt & strain to clean. If you want clinically clean shea, buy it from Comercial manufacturers but don't expect natural shea results. I have purchased 3 times and the results are unmatched.This Shea Butter is exactly what i was looking for. I took a chance despite some negative ferdback and Im glad I did. You can't beat the price for the quantity. The quality and consistency is perfect. A true unrefined Shea. Melts on contact with skin, moisturizes dry skin very well. The media could not be loaded.  I really like this product this was the most soft Shea butter I have ever received. There were a couple particles in it so I melted it down took a cheese cloth over a strainer over a bowl and strained it the cheesecloth as you can see in the pictures above have some little pieces of Shea I’m assuming, and it whipped very nicely I will be purchasing this again.

As I started digging more into the Shea butter I think it’s causing the lumps in my balm. I have no idea why this little tiny batch is creating what looks like spots.So I decided to come and read the one star reviews and also realize that yes there were probably two times now where I realized that there was something in my melted concoction but I thought I did that myself. Turns out it’s probably a shell part from the Shea butter.But what I’ve come to realize with making products with Shea butter is not only does Shea butter feel really greasy but it will get grainy if it’s not cold precisely… And I just think I’m going to avoid buying Shea butter overall now.There’s so many other butters I could use that don’t have these issues.I’ve already purchased the alternative “mango butter” that I’ve heard is less greasy but has the same feeling of Shea butter

Smells great however part looks a healthy yellow and part of it looks very grayish. Not sure if I'd even purchase again...

I loved this product, I make my families body butter and hair products with this being the base of our product adding essential oils etc.

Packaged nice, and non of my products was melted. Will be ordering more.

Smell like bacon. I’m so annoyed at how much this smells like smoke. I didn’t notice until I tried adding fragrance. It does not I repeat DOES NOT take fragrance well to cover that smell. I hope I can still sell it. I wish I would’ve read the comments. I’ve been making body butter for 2 years and wanted to order a bigger batch so I tried a new company because my sells have been amazing because of my fragrances. So to know that I just wasted money and fragrances doesn’t sit well with me. Save yourself and go somewhere else
