Q: We require access to add wood to our open fire. Does this have an access panel?

As a nursery guard, there is indeed some assembly required to secure the fireguard properly. There is no access panel but the screen can be simply unhooked from the wall and moved aside to tend the fire, something which a toddler would find difficult. The guard itself is quite sturdy and secure and does exactly what it says. It is not our most expensive screen but we have many satisfied customers.

Q: What is the depth of the top panel? The description says that the sides (I assume) are 18" deep.

The top panel is 254 mm (10”) deep whilst the side panels are 454 mm (just shy of 18”).

Q: Is it possible to order one of the clips/screw (wall attachment). We have lost one of ours...

Q: Specs say "top loading door" but several answers say that it does not have a top loading door. Which is correct? Log loading access needed.

If you have an open fire you would need to lean the guard towards you to add a log. If a log-burner then you have to move the whole guard to open doors and add a log (depending on the fire surround, the lengths of your arms and your sensitivity to heat.
