High quality!
The platinum series cases are of very high quality and this model has the roll aboard wheels instead of the spinner type wheels which in my opinion just beg to be knocked off as they stick out too far and also take up too much room in the overhead binns.

Looks like it should work well
I have another 20 inch carry on from Patagonia which they don't make anymore which has lasted me at least 10 years and I love it. However, this one is squarer and will fit more. it is a bit deeper as well. The fabric seems extremely sturdy, the wheels seem very good, and the handle also seems ok at first tryout. This line was recommended by the Wirecutter and I really like how I could buy a used one through Amazon for a little bit less. it arrived with tags without any noticeable difference: seems new, probably just returned! I'm hoping this will last me through my summer fall travels and I'm going to try not to check luggage. I also don't love spinners: I like the two wheeler. This one fit my needs exactly!

Well made; Not quite small enuf for all int’l carriers
Love how close this is to my old 22” in size and proportion while still fitting most airline size standards for carry on. I do wish there was a size just an inch or two smaller each way (but not super small underwear size) so it would go on all of the Asian carriers as well. This will probably have to be checked on budget carriers. Quality seems great, especially wheels. Classy and stylish. Wish there was a large 2 wheel version to go with. I had to buy a separate TravelPro line for my larger checked bag so my fins would fit! It looks fine but would like nicer if it totally matched.

High quality touches, but tips easily
This definitely has "high end" written all over it: heavy duty outer shell, sturdy zippers, cushioned handles, extra bumpers and pulls in all the right places and lots of zippered compartments, inside and out. I especially like the fact the zipper pulls are shaped differently, giving you a tactile clue of what the zipper is for (like main compartment versus expansion zones). Inside I noticed the compartment lining is not loose, but attached to the outer shell so it stays in place. Plus, there is cushioning between the metal frame bars and the outer shell, not that that helps with anything, it's just a pure high quality touch. The compartment to store your cell phone battery packs, and hook them up through a wire running through the bag, is something my wife has a new found appreciation for: she found out the hard way you are not allowed to store battery packs in your checked luggage. This bag is designed to be very useful for those spending a lot of time in the airport, waiting for the next flight. Besides the cell phone battery hook up wire feature, they have 3 zippered compartments on the front/top flap of the bag, allowing you plenty of space to store various things you may want easy access to (computer, magazines, tickets, notebooks, etc.). The one problem this bag has is that it tips forward and over fairly easily when it's fully loaded, with expansion zones deployed. To be fair, my wife is a "heavy packer," so maybe this isn't an issue with less stuff. Part of the problem may be you end up "forward loading" too much (weight) on the front/top flap. Maybe if they designed it with a pocket on the back the load may be more balanced. But a more obvious culprit is the base. Instead of 4 wheels they use 2 wheels in the rear and 2 stationary feet in the front. Looking closely at the positioning, it seems like the the 2 front stops are not out far enough, which is odd since there appears to be enough room to place them an inch further forward. In fact, I think I am going to try to move them forward myself. So, again, this is a feature filled, high quality bag, but if you fully pack it, it has a tendency to fall over.

Good size
I used this on a 12-day trip to Europe (in addition to a "personal item"). Together, the two bags held everything I needed. This bag complies with American Airlines' dimension limits. The extra pockets inside owrked well for keeping small items sorted. I do wish that the exterior pockets were more spacious - nothing really fits in them that is thicker than a few sheets of paper.

Great bag
If you want a bag that's worth the cost (value for money) then this is the bag to get. Good quality material and it looks good too.
