Davidson's Tea Bulk, French Vanilla Essence, 16-Ounce Bag

I make this tea by itself and also mixed with other loose leaf tea. after steeping it is great served with cream. another great tea from Davidson! BTW..Try the decaf vanilla one from Davidson (can't remember the name but it is even better than this one IMO).

It is very good quality tea, both flavorful and aromatic . Good value for the price

Do not buy this tea!!! I have never tasted something so foul in my life.The product name is "French Vanilla Essence" however there is NO VANILLA in this tea. You can only taste stevia, yet nowhere in the product description, nor on the bag image displayed in almost non-legible type, states that this tea has stevia. Even if it didn't have stevia there still is NO VANILLA in this French Vanilla tea.Dear Davidson's Tea Company, it's illegal to name a product something that misleads consumers to think they're buying something they're not. I suggest you have your food scientists reformulate this product; perhaps create a Vanilla tea that uses vanilla as one of its ingredients, and is not loaded with ingredients that could potentially be harmful to one's health.When I tried to return the tea and get a QR code a window popped up and said this item is non-returnable. I went back and re-read the web copy and it says it is returnable. I tried this process several times then called Amazon Customer Service. The representative approved my reimbursement and told me that I don't need to ship it back, so it's now in the compost trashcan.

This is a black tea with french vanilla essence, so obviously it's not going to taste like most vanilla people are used to. Black tea has a strong flavor so the vanilla doesn't stand out as much and also natural unsweetened vanilla tastes a lot different than commercial vanilla products or artificial vanilla.I'm guessing a lot of people are used to artificial vanilla since it's a lot sweeter. The difference between real vanilla and artificial vanilla is like the difference between a watermelon and watermelon flavor.I do have one complaint though, the tea leaves smell like maple syrup and vanilla. Kind of weird, but it tastes good.

I use it for making iced tea. It has a very distinct, unusual flavor that I like, but no one in my family likes it. Read: More Iced Tea for Me! I measure .5 oz of tea in 8 cups of boiling water, brewed for 4-5 minutes; chilled before serving.I tend to drink 1-2 glasses/day. It definitely has caused me consistent "digestive disturbances." Not sure why, so I tried stopping this tea for a week and the issue stopped...and resumed when I drank the tea again. I tested it twice over five weeks. It's definitely the tea. I'm going to try to see how making a weaker batch goes, because it is very tasty.

Absolutely love this tea. Can drink it alone or it is great for creating your own blends. So far we’ve added cinnamon sticks cut up - loved it - Vanilla cinnamon- 4 stars. Vanilla apricot with cut up dried apricots - 4 stars. Just picked up some dried blueberries for our next experiment. Perfect hot or cold. Highly recommend.

Black tea with vanilla is my favorite of all teas. One maker I'd been using discontinued it, and the price I'd been finding was massive. At $15 for 16 ounces, this was inexpensive enough to try out. I am stunned at how good it is. The bag is HUGE, and I get two big cups from one large teaspoon-sized infusion. Taste is everything I could have hoped for.

I bought this tea to put into tiny tins as a gift I D.A.M. for my sisters, bridal shower. We held the bridal shower at a teahouse, and they happen to use the same brand of tea. Super flavorful and delicious.

I bought this as my go-to place was out of their French Vanilla tea. 'Essence' of Vanilla should have given away what this would be. There are strong caramel-like flavours and something that is very much alcohol based. I use Stevia in my tea, so it may be a cheap form of that in the tea. I kept sipping, thinking I would catch something more, I didn't. What I did catch, a headache. I don't know what they put in this tea, but I will never purchase a product from them again. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Point to add, open and try it right away so you can return it. I waited, as I finished my other tea, so I'm beyond Amazon's 30 days.

This tea tastes and smells like liqueur. It is an acquired taste. Not what I was expecting.
