The item arrived promptly and was well packaged to avoid damage in transit.It came with a very short (20cm) but still useful USB cable (for downloading images from the camera) and a lengthy power cable for plugging into a 12V car lighter socket; in fact, the cable was so long that irrespective of where you position the camera on your car's windscreen, you will still be able to plug it in with ease. This is also a real boon for those who don't have a spare power point near the dashboard - in my case, I was able to run the cable all the way to the auxiliary 12V power point just behind the front two seats in the car. Excellent.A big bonus point was the inclusion of two different types of mounting attachments for the camera - a suction mount with a secure ball and socket joint, and a second self-adhesive bracket for any other position that might reasonably be encountered. This means that in reality, just about every conceivable mounting position that you are ever going to meet is properly covered.The camera itself is well made and both the lens and the rear screen are covered with a protective safety film which needs to be peeled off before use. Everything seems to be well-made and reassuringly solid.There are a daunting array of control buttons on each side of the camera, and although each button has a small symbol beside it embossed into the camera body, they are not easy to read. The instruction leaflet that was provided explains what each button is, but curiously does not really tell you clearly how to use the camera. You are really left to find out for yourself how to set it up and switch it on. Of course, the whole thing is really pretty straightforward and the unit pretty much runs itself, but it's a shame that just a little bit more detail is not provided on the instruction leaflet. But if you are one of those "throw-away-the-manual-and-just-switch-the-thing-on" types of person, you'll get on fine. But for a nerd like me who needs to see the instructions first, it's just a pity that more set-up information isn't provided. It also doesn't tell you how to insert a micro SD card. I only found out which way this goes in after reading other reviews on Amazon (the contacts on the SD card need to face the back of the camera), which is a real omission in my view. It's also worth pointing out that the SD card needs to be fully pushed home (I used a fingernail to shove it fully in) before it locks into place.Once the unit is installed on your windscreen, when the car ignition is turned on the unit springs into life, and when you switch the engine off at the end of the journey, the unit switches itself off. Simple. So you really don't need to do anything once it's attached to your windscreen and plugged in.In use, the camera covers a reasonably wide field of view - it certainly covers the entire front of the vehicle and quite a bit of the front sides too. On playback, whilst I would hesitate to describe it as being true HD quality, the resolution is very good - certainly better that I expected at this price point. The image is stable, sharp and has a good dynamic range. Car number plates and road signs are clearly visible and legible. Even at night, images were clear and more than useful.Each video clip is stored as a separate file, so when connected to a computer, you'll see a range of clips covering all the recent journeys. I've put a 32gb card in it, but haven't as yet been able to establish how long it will take before the unit will begin to overwrite earlier recordings. I reckon I should last a good few days.Interestingly, although no SD card is included in the pack, there's a voucher included for a free 32gb SD card which can be redeemed by completing an Amazon review and emailing the details to the manufacturer. I fully intend to take advantage of this offer.So all in all, this is a nice bit of kit at a very competitive price. I paid around £15 for it on one of Amazon's deals-of-the-day, which in my opinion was a real steal. It's well made and sturdy and should be high on everyone's shopping list.I hope you've found this review helpful.

Bought it for myself as I saw my friend was having one of these in her car. Dash cam itself not too expensive. I have amazon prime, so it arrived on the next day. Didn't aware that it doesn't come with SD card so had to go out and shop for SD card. Very easy to use and install. Doesn't block my driving view as well. So far the quality of the video seeing from the screen is quite clear, same as night time. Didn't check the video quality in the PC as I don't need to yet. Overall the dash cam is quite good.

The dashcam does exactly what it says on the tin - you can literally plug it in and forget about it as it starts auto recording as soon as the ignition is turned on. It can be setup, installed and recording in the time it takes you to insert an SD card and walk to your car - super easy to use.Pros:Build quality is good,Has all the features you'd need for effective use,Picture quality is better than expected even when moving fast.Well packaged and delivered quickly.Cons:Plastic screen protector has sticker in the top left obscuring part of the screen which means you can't really keep it on.The video files do not play on a Samsung Smart TV (but work fine through Kodi and on PC).Difficult to use for people with big hands and sausage fingers due to it's small size.Overall very happy with the product for the price and would recommend it to anyone considering a cheap dashcam.

I bought this for my Dad's birthday as he's been on about one for a while. He is retired and maybe not the most tech savvy person in the world. After receiving the gift we sat down and got the camera working to find how good a piece of kit it is,For the price compared to some camera's, it is of a high quality in its appearance. Finding out the functions of the camera are pretty straight forward and simple to set up. The image quality is of a great standard which is replicated when playing back the footage on a laptop. The camera also has a good built in microphone that picks up speech well inside and outside the vehicle. Just remember if the mic is on, it is picking all conversation up in the car whilst you drive, lol.It is an easy install to the car with a couple of options of how to install it. Everything comes in the box with it, the only additional item needed is a micro sd card which the seller offers a deal including one with the camera.An all round great piece of kit that my dad loves, simple to use and I would highly recommend it.

i received the dashcam in good time and tried it out straight away and I am and i am very pleased with my purchase. it has a a good quality lens which capture images very well.the windscreen sucker is a strong one that holds the dashcam well.The the information manual leaves a lot to be desired, however once you get an idea of the buttons its easy to use. easy to install and a good price.you cant really go wrong.

For the price this camera is remarkable, it feels well made and solid to the toutch.It has sleek styling that complement most modern cars so wont look out of place on your dash.It comes with full instructions so there is no messing around you are recording as soon as you plug in and switch on your engine.I dont know how they do it for the money but am sure glad they did, I might even buy another one for my Brother & I dont even like him that's how good I think this thing is.

Very Good camera for the price, the battery does not hold charge so must be plugged in all the time
