Fussy but makes great rice
OK, it's very cute but the directions are minimal and there are no maps for this territory if all you want is to make rice. The cooker is essentially a tiny self-contained double-boiler. I fussed with it and found that if I use the steam setting, which defaults to something like 1.2 hours of steaming, you can get nice rice if you unplug it after about .6 hours. Or 36 minutes, if there were a setting for minutes. I haven't figured out any way to just make it stop cooking after 36 minutes so I use a timer to remind me when it's time to unplug it.The rice is heated by the water you mix with the rice as well as the water that's in the outer container. It can be made as sticky rice (with fewer minutes) or a drier rice if you leave it on for more minutes. Some experimentation with timing is needed to figure out how to make the rice the way you like it. BTW, the inner container is ceramic and has a ceramic lid. That also seems to help to make the rice come out tasty.

Perfect size rice cooker
This is the first time I am writing a review on a not so expected item. I love the size & cook rice just right. I've always hated cooking extra rice but I saw this I thought I'd give it a try. It looked complicated at first but as you follow instructions, you can never go wrong. Love it!

Good portion and porcelain, no non-stick coating
I've used it for the past week and I like it. Perfect portion for 1-2 persons. The timer is helpful, I enjoy my rice porridge ready in the morning. And I don't have to worry about those non-stick coatings. Cute design.

Does not work
Followed the manual to the letter and still it wouldn’t work properly. I contacted the seller and they still found a way to say that I wasn’t using it right. Next time I buy a slow cooker I’ll purchase more for its quality functionality and reviews and less for the aesthetic.

A really useful and healthy way to cook
It is a life saver. Once you understand how to use it, you can cook different things. It is enough for two rations.
