Okay so a lot of people will not understand analog and digital signal conversion. This is a DVI-I output, which means that some people will want to connect it to a DVI-I to VGA cable, chances are (unless you have a miracle) that this will not work, because the signal has already been converted to a different digital signal, so it won't convert this into analog for your VGA.If you connecting it to a digital display cable you should be fine.So in short you're fine unless your trying to connect it to a VGA cable.Just thought I'd save people any hassle in a world were tech is like learning a new language.

Not sure what sheerness & thickness relate to on such an item so I left them blank!What can I say it arrived the next day after ordering - plugged it in and boom! I have two monitors running - brilliant for allowing MS Teams online lessons (I’m a teacher) have my lesson presentation up and running on the main screen that everyone can see and then have the room controls and register on the second screen - has made my life 100% easier as a result.Just be careful when trying to remove the connector to your graphics card - there is a release tab you have to press on top of the display port plug otherwise it is not possible to remove!Good product

I have now been using this product for a week. No problems at all. It arrived on time and well packed. There were clear instructions as to the direction of flow of data. Product is well made and fells substantial. I was worried that he threads that secure the screws on the VGA terminal might not be very well cut (problem I have had on other such products before), but that was not the case. The screws tightened up nicely to form a secure connection.Would buy again.

I needed an active adaptor for my Dell 990. One answered question here says it is a passive adaptor, but I took the risk knowing I could return it. I had already tried a basic adapter which did not work.I didn't need to, it works, it is an active adaptor.

Not sure what else to say but I have now managed to connect my old monitor to my new PC display port. So the adaptor works as I hoped it would, for a reasonable price :)

Works but I would not recommend this for a 144hz monitor as you will only get 60hz out of it.

This arrived same day with Prime.It enabled me to connect a second monitor to my Dell PC. simple plug and play. If your PC has a display port and your monitor has a DVI port you can use this to connect the two using a DVI cable
