Well that serves me right for thinking 18 books for under £40, by a well known author, would be a win / win. I stuggled through the first book over two weeks and gave up after 70 pages of the second. There is more padding than Joan Collins 80s jackets. In the first book she takes three pages describing the trip from home to office, none of it relevant to the plot.

I bought these books as a gift for my partner after we watched and loved the Bones TV series during lockdown. They arrived today and were well packaged however one of the spines is damaged (as shown in photo) - hence only being able to give it 4*It isn't worth the hassle of sending the whole set of 18 books back just for the sake of 1 book in the set to look presentable, so as it shouldn't affect us reading the book I am just going to have to gift them as they are or see if I can buy that book separately.For less than £2.50 each book it's worth it at the end of the day, it's just a shame one is damaged. I just hope that we love the books as much as the TV show now, haha

I cannot comment on the books as they are for a present. But the presentation of them look good and they are the ones I wanted for a gift
