better than the cone of shame!
My half Maine Coon had major surgery on his left ear. They put him in the plastic cone of shame, which he was miserable with. He could not see, he refused to move, I had to literally put food in my hand to feed him. I tried to cut one of the cones shorter 2", and that was a little better, but he still could not eat without me feeding him from my hand. We were both miserable. And, the plastic cones were rubbing on the base fo the ear and irritating his 20+ stitches. He was miserable and just laid around moping - always where he knew I would see him so he could whine.I figured I would try a recovery collar. I had no idea on sizing so I guessed. A couple days later it arrived. Okay, it is a male cat, but when all you can find in the size you think will fit is pink... you just go with it. He wasn't going to be picky.Almost immediately, he was up and mobile and heading for the food dish. YAY!This collar was easy to put on and take off, has a wider opening so it did not rub on his ear, and he could eat and drink without my assistance. It really made a major difference in his recovery. I have had to wash this once, I did not dry it in the dryer, and he had to wear the short plastic cone in the few hours it took to dry. He was not happy, his ear was getting irritated too.No matter how goofy you think your pet will look with it, consider buying one or three! I debated getting collars before surgery, now I wish I had. Both pictures were taken the same day - him moping while I was working on the computer, and then him about 30min after getting the collar put on.

Comfortable for the cat
Our cat recently had a ruptured anal gland. The plastic cone from the vet didn't really allow her to sleep, eat or drink very well. We bought 3 different soft cones from different suppliers and this is the best of the three. Its very flexible & collapses so she can lay her head down to sleep. For her, it's long enough that it gets in the way when she tries to lick the wound. She gets it dirty in the litter box but its washable. We use the others when this one is getting washed but this is the best of the three we tried. One of the others is too big & snags on things. The third one doesn't fit well and she's about to knock it off.

Cute but! too small
Cute but to small I had to put two holes on both sides to tie it with string to keep her from kicking it off. Much better them the hard cone

Good but not water resistant
I bought this in part because the reviews said it was water resistant. My cat gets food and gunk all over the place so I needed something that I could clean easily and quickly and put right back on her. But whoever thinks this cone is water resistant is either nuts or lying--it's just regular fabric. It's machine washable at least, but you're not going to be able to quickly clean off messes and put it right back on your cat. It does appear to be fairly comfortable, as she hasn't tried to get it off yet, but I wish it came in a smaller size for my cat's tiny little neck.

😻😻😻 Look no further: this is the cone all the cool cats want! 😻😻😻
My cat had to have orthopedic surgery to repair a shattered leg and needs to be in a crate for the next 8 weeks 🙀He was sent home with a sad paper cone that was almost as big as he was.I got him the PETBABA Cat Cone Collar which was a definite improvement but the edges were still stiff and difficult to navigate. Finally, I found this one and it's hands down the winner.1. it is soft and comfortable so he's not constantly resisting it2. it's easier for him to eat and drink with3. it's so soft and cushy it doubles as a pillow when he decides to sleep!Pros:• It has a large velcro patch on back so is easy put on• Seems to be water-resistant and can be wiped clean• So soft!Cons:• Absorbs water more than plastic collarsIt looks like he's giving me the stink eye in the first picture but that's actually him about to give an eye hug for getting him such a cool, soft, cushy collar 🤗p.s. I purchased the 7.5-9" collar. He is on the small side and it fits perfectly but you may need a larger size if your cat is more than ~12lbs.

Cone of healing
Originally bought this cone in 2019 when our other kitty had a procedure to remove a tumor on her forehead and this was a life saver. She could actually get comfortable and rest. Our other kitty (pictured) had an abdominal procedure this week and we were so grateful to already have this cone on hand. She hates the plastic one and fights us when we try to put it on. However she doesn’t seem to mind the cloth one at all. As others have mentioned after a few washes it doesn’t stay in a cone shape but flipping it the opposite direction still keeps her from being able to lick her abdomen, so it’s not an issue. We got the small and it was the perfect size for both our cats.Do yourself and your cat a favor and get this cone of healing! It allows them to get to food and water more easily, it’s lighter weight and more comfortable!

Soaks up water from water bowl, then the fabric dye transfers to other materials
Until I tried this recovery collar on my cat, I didn't realize that a fabric recovery collar (aka soft cone collar) needs to be water-resistant. This very absorbent collar soaked up water from the water bowl when my cat was drinking. When I took the soggy collar off and laid it aside to dry, the pink dye from the collar bled onto the fabric it was sitting on. Thank goodness I had set it on a towel that I can bleach, not on a chair or something else I couldn't wash!I give it one star overall and two stars for comfort; the comfort rating would have been higher, because it seemed comfortable while the collar was dry, but no cat is going to be comfortable wearing a sopping wet collar! Sadly I'm going to throw this away, I can't think of any way to reuse it where neither the absorbency nor the dye bleeding would be a problem.

Almost perfect!
This was a life safer. The more ample angle of this cone allowed my kitten to eat and drink without struggle and was so much more comfortable for her to sleep with.I wished I had bought it before the surgery and never used the plastic cone that hurt her neck and infuriated her.I bought the smallest size and it was barely small enough for my 2,5kg kitten. I wouldn’t recommend to any cat smaller than her.Good things: high quality, washable and very soft with foam inside; very cute and angle allows more freedom to the pet.Bad things: a bit heavier than I expected and definitely heavier on the side where you can Velcro it and you can see the pet neck gets tired.

A lifesaver!!!!
When I brought Mama Cat home from the vet's, she had a plastic cone on her head. She was bumping into everything in sight (making loud crashing noises) and had a hard time eating - not to mention she seemed super uncomfortable when trying to sleep on her side. This super soft, comfortable collar was a lifesaver! Gone were the sounds that go "bump" in the night (literally), her whiskers didn't touch the sides much (therefore she could manoeuvre around furniture and doorways) and she was able to nurse her babies, sleep comfortably and eat properly for the first time since her spaying. Plus she looked adorable! :) The collar is shaped so that it does stay up straight, but it is flexible at the same time. To give her the opportunity to look out the window or eat more comfortably, I did flip it down over her shoulders at times. Either way, she didn't seem bothered too much to have it on 24/7 for over a week. Unlike the plastic one *shudders* I highly recommend this collar!

Should be perfect for bigger cats.
Velcro unties easily and my cat (Egyptian Mau) was able to remove it by herself. Should fit for bigger cats.

Confortable but ineffective
We bought this cone after sterilizing my 7 month old Bengal cat, unfortunately she was able to lick her wound and it got infected. We payed over $500 in vet fees and she’s now on anti-inflammatories, antibiotics and painkillers. I do not recommend this product if your pet had surgery especially if they’re smart and a contortionist!

Made my cat a flower
Used for 1.5 weeks after my cat was neutered. Fit him well - not too tight, not too loose. The velcro is not adjustable, so glad it fit. It was more pink than I anticipated, but he didn't care! (I thought it was red. Oops!) It was soft so he did not develop any scratches or sores on his neck. It did not interfere with his eating or drinking. We did change to a smaller water dish after the front got soaked on the first day.
